As we saw today the shocking but inevitable delay of Halo Infinite, I realized how silly it would be for any fanboy to console war during this phase of the next-gen infinity war.

Is there any point to console war when one of the great console war mascots, Master Chief, won't come out gunz blazing until thr divershitty team at 343i get their shit together by 2021?

Jim Ryan doesn't even want to comment anymore, he's too busy these days with his kids and beautiful wife. I envy that man, how can someone have such deep hindsight into the next-gen console cycle that allowed him to bring the PlayStation brand to the next level.

OMG! I agree with this so much it's actually mad.
I joined Neogaf this year, after years of lurking, hoping to enjoy a bit of console warring during the start of a brand new generation. Let both sides rip the shit out of each other for a bit until everything settles down into the next gen and carry on as normal.

But what's happened now makes this not a war anymore. It's like an Viking army turned to fight and found that the opposition were OAPs in a nursing home or something.
It's seems less of War and more of a mercy killing...
I genuinely feel bad for the actual genuine Xbox gamers that want to actually play actual GAMES!

It's feels like having to euthanise a sick dog. I'm a little bit sorry it didn't have a better life after such a good start.

I mean, console warring seems to be fun, judging by the people participating and getting banned for it.

At this point better to delayed Series X till fall 2021 with Halo.

With an upgraded SSD up to 10-11GB/sec speeds and 20GB DDR6.
