I tried this demo on Steam
It runs fine on PC which it should considering it's a mid-budget AA JRPG game. For what it is, it looks fine, I'm not expecting AAA visuals here. It looks much better than the videos of the Switch version I've seen, mainly because texture detail is better and I can run it at 4K. It natively supports 120 fps on PC which is a pleasant surprise. The bloom effect is broken or something and I had to turn it off because it was making the whole screen a white blob. Besides that, I noticed no technical issues with the demo
I'm still not sure about this game. It's obvious they are trying to make a niche JRPG franchise known mostly for cute girls and crafting into something more mainstream. It has an open world now because of course everything's a fucking open world now, it has side quests, and it has what seems like a relatively serious story (by Atelier standards). But it also still has crafting, and I don't find anything more boring in RPG games than crafting. This is why I've bounced off the Atelier games in the past because I have better things to do with my life than make pretend items in a video game. So I don't know how much crafting remains a central part of this game or how much I'll enjoy it
