Cut them some slack, it's tough to write comedy in times as interesting and volatile as this. Both Babylon Bee and The Onion are having a hard time finding absurdity when so much of the world already seems absurd.

I'm a lifelong atheist and greatly respect Richard Dawkins intellect, but the world has become as utterly messed up as it has precisely because ordinary people 100% need religion to stay sane.
Also I'm kind of bummed he got to 'No lives matter' before the people making the Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor Eisenhorne TV series thought of it for their tagline.

They’ve had more than a few good ones. And unlike the Onion, they skewer both sides of the political spectrum and put evangelicals on blast regularly- which is true satire seeing how the staff is clearly on the religious right.
The Onion was never really funny. It’s too biting and one-sided in its satire. I find something like Hard Times to be a good middle ground between Bee and Onion.
