Hey I went to official ati website, and they won't give em out cuz the MOBILITY drivers supplied with a given laptop or notebook have been specially modified to work in conjunction with the flat panel display and any other graphics or video options installed in that specific computer.

SO..are there no latest drivers for download on these mobility cards?

Laptop manufacturers use different screen sizes/parts etc... makes it very complicated to make a general driver set that will work across the board. I guess that matters moreso than Desktop components.

But yeah, you have to go with your manufacturer for drivers.

Yep, you have to use the drivers provided from your laptop manufacturer. Their homepage should have some sort of support/driver downloads page.

I'm using Alienware...the latest drivers for the 9600 I have are 8.05

You can also try www.notebookforums.com and see if anyone has any hacked drivers up for download, but I stick with the official ones.
