Had it 4-1. Alex did nothing after round 1. I like Alex but he’s a basic striker with crazy power but he faced someone who wasn’t intimidated by the aura.

Pereira looked like shit. Aside from a handful of head punches and a ton of calf kicks, he did nothing.

Just stood there like a zombie and couldnt figure out how to counter someone who is the aggressor. As the commentators said, when Pereira is on the backfoot he isnt good. He actually looks like he has no idea what to do.

- Be the aggressor. Alex no idea what to do when backfooting
- Grapple and pin him against the fence (that boring smothering stuff). Alex no idea what to do to get out of it, or reverse it so the other guy is against the fence
- Head hunt. Alex doesn't have a great chin, not great head defence. He got stunned a few times by punches

Be the attacker and dont be like victims of Mike Tyson who stood there like lame ducks waiting to be beaten down. When he's being hunted down, he's definitely not as good as he looks. The UFC commentators even said Alex is a totally different fighter when on the defensive backfoot.

At least Alex's takedown defenses were on point.

He's already training with Glover, just one call and he can get Machida on his camp. It would improve the other side of his game greatly.
