ATI Omega drivers question

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I have an ATI Radeon 9800 128mb card (and an Abit IC7 mobo), and just downloaded the latest Omega drivers. There are two things that are pissin me off:

1. Where the hell is the clock/mem speed changing tool? Maybe I downloaded something extra along with the last set of drivers, but I thought it usually comes with a clock speed adjustment option?

2. Under "SMARTGART" there's an AGP speed adjuster, and it defaults to Off. I try to set it to either 4x or 8x (it doesn't let you move it to 1 or 2) and it says "You must restart your computer to allow SMARGART to test your changes..." So I do that, restart the computer, and it boots back up as Off again. What the fuck? I recently noticed that it did that with my last Omega drivers. Should it be like that? Will it have any negative impact on performance?

Also, I'm not using the official ATI drivers because I have some weird problem with my card (I think related to clock speed) that seems to go away when I use the Omega drivers.......at least, it used to.

1. Ati Tray Tools is included now with the Omega drivers. It used to include Radlinker/Clocker which intergrated the menu into display options but the developer is no longer around. So he moved over to including ATI Tray Tools.

2. This works together with the setting in your bios. If u have it set to 8x in your bios, smartgart should reflect that setting.

download an updated version of ur bios for your ic7. I have the same board and had the same problem. It should fix it.

I downloaded the ATI Tray thing, installed it, and it does nothing...... literaly. I click on it and I get some error message (I first installed the v1.0 and absolutely nothing happened when I tried to run it).

All I want is to adjust the speed of my damn memory card (lower it), and even the damn control panel that comes with the new official ati drivers doesn't let me do that. What the fuck.

I hate computers.

It says the last mobo bios update was last december......I'm pretty sure I've updated since then.

I had the same problem with the AGP setting with Omega drivers...the only way I could get the setting to stay on and at 8x was to just install the latest official ATI drivers. Honestly, I don't see any real difference in the current Omegas and that of the current official ones...at least not like I noticed some months back between the two.
