Yeah but obviously it had a significant dropoff between XIII and XIII-2. I bought it in the hopes more Square games would come to PC, but have no interest in buying them if they're all as terrible as XIII's port was.Heck, FFXIII, with its terrible reputation, managed to sell more than 400k.

Type-0 also being a bad port so far doesn't surprise me.
why can't the master race accept their 'master status' and stop port-begging for 'peasant' games?
Don't the master race have star citizen to play or something?
/S

To give you a serious response, anybody who ends up on GAF is the type of PC gamer who also enjoys genres more associated with console gaming. Hardline PC-only types have little reason to be active here. They're talking about cRPGs and 4X games somewhere else.
And MOBA and MMORPGs and RTS i presume....unless those PC master race also looked down on these pc players for being 'casual'.

You forgot the "/s".
People wanted a reason to get a console- I can't think of a better reason than one of the most promising JRPGs in recent times.
there's no /S because some self-proclaimed 'master race' i knew said that MOBA players are 'casuals' as well....take that if you will.
Apparently, 'master race' are very specific about what is 'master race' even if the person primary game on PC.....

It's hard for me to sit there and imagine there isn't an audience for at least late ports of their older games.
That said, I'd say the same thing about porting Persona 4 Golden to other platforms as well, and I've already played through it on Vita.

This and Bloodborne and can now be the only reasons to own a PS4.![]()
B-but they're losing ez money!1!Eh,whatever. Games can be console only, too.
But even Persona 5 is on the PS3 as well, so really, the only reason to own a PS4 is Bloodborne.
Sakura Spirit isn't actually Japanese.
True and I thought about that, but PS4 is only place you can play both. And I was being sarcastic.
Not to mention REmake2 and Picross 3D 2 just this month.Sorry Atlus, ShenMue III, FFVII Remake and Last Guardian were all announced at the same conference just in June. So you're not fooling anyone, we already know the infinite improbability drive exists.
But even Persona 5 is on the PS3 as well, so really, the only reason to own a PS4 is Bloodborne.
M: Is a PC release impossible?
J: Depends...do you have ready access to an infinite improbability drive?
Infinite improbability?... sounds like it's gonna be improbable for a very long time. It may not sounds explicitly/directly like "most likely never", but sure seems that way in the current state.
and 'infinitely improbable' as the 30th of February it seems.
Thats what people would have said about Tales of ever being on PC. Guess what happens on October![]()
Because of Namco Bandai for Tales...
But Atlus is not Namco Bandai.....
Better not let your hopes up or your disappointment will be even greater..
that says....if E3 2015 had proves anything, it's that anything is possible...
so yay for you?
Thats what people would have said about Tales of ever being on PC. Guess what happens on October![]()
3 years ago, people would have used Capcom as an exemple and claim "because of Capcom, but Namco Bandai isnt Capcom".
When you see that even NIS or IF are going on Steam, you can bet it wont take that long for Atlus (especially under SEGA) to follow.
Then again, that kind of decision would likely depend on Atlus Japan, not Atlus USA.
Namco are in for the fans, but mostly for the money (since Naruto Storm 3? I think)... (hopefully they are doing better in that department).
Atlus is something else. Atlus' way of developing its games changed the way SEGA was seeing their pipelines of development. Despite being the owner, SEGA are taking cues on how to "quality" control their projects based on Atlus' work so far.
This still doesnt change my statement. And what about NIS or even IF ?
p.s. I don't get why does it feel like it is more acceptable to port-beg console games to PC than a 3rd party exclusive on set console to another one?
Why would this come out on the PC in the first place?
I thought the Persona series was strictly consoles and habdhelds? Why would they shift their tune now?
because PC gamers and their 'everything is better on PC' reasoning i supposed.....
still remember the complaining and portbegging when Bloodborne was announced?
I'm sure someone will post on gaf in the future that Nintendo should also port the next Zelda to PC too because 'the Zelda PC port will help bring in more revenue to nintendo' or some similar reason...
