Attention NY GAFers! Need Some Help

I'm going to be visiting friends in NY this year, particularly in Albany, and I need some help. I've been assigned cooking duties one of the nights I'm out there, and I'm quite particular about the ingredients I use. I like to be able to use some really nice stuff if possible.

Anyway, what I need to know, is what are the upscale grocery stores in NY? Oddly enough, friend doesn't know of them off-hand as they don't go to them, so, whatever. In Minnesota, we've got Byerly's, and they're wicked cool. I can get everything I need that most supermarkets don't carry. More pricey, but worth it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

My years in "The Capital Region," of New York were spent in college, so I'm not too educated on the "upscale" supermarkets, but I do know that there are plenty of Hannafords up there. Most, if not all of them are perfectly clean, and (usually) friendly cashiers. Price Chopper is the cheaper place up there, but you should really take it on a store-by-store basis.
