ATTN: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (PS4) - Clearance Sale @ Gamestop ($4.99 Only)

I'm not generally into visual novels but this one was really fun, definitely worth the price.
Felt more interactive than your average visual novel since you can actually move around the environments, and it does have combat sections which are pretty fun too.
The presentation is amazing too and the story is great. Had my doubts they'd be able to tell a story with so many characters that wouldn't be a nightmare to follow, but they actually did.

George Kamitani is mad man more so than Yoko Taro, on paper story could have easily end up being convoluted mess but they actually pulled it off.

This is no joke a one of one kind of a game. If sci-fi, rts, or virtual novels appeal to you (any ONE of them, mind you), then you should snap this up now, and thank me later.

Get yourself a PS5 while you're there, it's God of War season

FYI, I believe Pesona 5 Strikers is also part of this clearance at the same price.

Yep, that is as well

This game was amazing, I was super engrossed in the story... so much in there that I didn't see coming (...The RTS part is good as well, haha)

Also, the soundtrack is insanely good- absolutely check it out after you finish playing, as well as the -The Branched- arrangement album, which is just as good, if not even better

13 Sentinels is one of the rare examples of a masterpiece Japanese adventure game within its respective generation, a massive triumph of experimentation in interactive branching narratives, and the RTS part isn't half bad either. It's a complete no brainer at 4.99, go get it if you're even half interested.

It's really unique in how the story is the part of the gameplay. The RTS portion is just serviceable but the narrative portions are something special. It's really easy to dismiss it as a glorified VN, and in a way it kind of apes YU-NO but well, YU-NO is probably one of the best VNs so at least it's following in the steps of something good.

Seriously if you can, buy this game. It has one of the best stories in years and is a fantastic game. $5 is a still and it's well worth a try. One of my al time favorites.

Found the amount of storylines overbearing by the end, plus the order in which you play is very contingent on your enjoyment IMO.

The latter 1/3 started getting way too crazy for me, but I did platinum it and damn those titties. Vanillaware is life.

It's the kind of magic experience that the more I approached to the ending, I felt more void not because of the story, but I realized it's gonna be a real long time till another game like this comes up. That ingenious craft can be hardly replicated by the mainstream developers in the industry.

I bought my native language ver for Switch version on my visit home last week for Switch.
I completed the English ver on PS4, but looking forward to enjoy the story more in depth with more detailed nuances - and read up all the stuff inside. :)
