The mid-90s death matches in Japan were fucking insane. I wish the Internet was as advanced back then. The only way to get that stuff was tape trading and the Insane Clown Posse videos. I thought Cactus Jack had quit wrestling after he left WCW until I saw those matches pop up in the Apter mags.
I remember Mr. Pogo getting paralyzed in the match with Terry Funk. Funk just keeps beating the shit out of him while he's lying unable to move. Then he goes after the crowd with a flaming branding iron, gets on the mic, tells FMW to fuck off and that Pogo is a piece of shit. People wanted him dead.

The only reasons I still watch Raw are Damien Sandow, Daniel Bryan, and Kane. And so I can know what Brandon's talking about when I read the Best/Worst of Raw.

I still haven't seen the show yet. Stupid companies all in a dispute over stuff so I don't have the CW/the local channel however that stuff works for now.
I did like the commercial for the show though, only because the music sounded like something out of Power Rangers.

lol, this won't make a difference because none of us has nielson boxes and were a real small minority of the fanbase.
People love complaining here but both shows are not doing great right now anyway, but Raw has Daniel Bryan who is the wrestler of year which makes Raw watchable.

See, I like the fact someone can escape from the door because it means they can be real jerks about it. A strong dominant wrestler like André would casually walking out with the opponent unconscious or a devious snake/heel walked out laughing while the opponent is chained to the post or tied up in the ropes.
Shame wrestling in North America has forgotten that can happen and settles for slow crawls or excuse to "he hit his own partner!" mishaps. John Cena could at least do his standard heel tactics and duct tape someone so they can't get out.

Vince doesn't even give a fuck about ratings boxes anymore. It's all about being socially active now....he can sell that to his advertisers. Seriously, one of the Did You Know's talked about Smackdown being the most socially active or some shit while it's ratings are in sharp decline.

Admittedly, a large reason of why I like the WWE despite all the flaws are its impeccable production values. Nobody else besides Ring Ka King (which was amazing) could hold a candle to it.

Oh man, that Jericho entrance. SO AWFUL. Notice how the Titantron video is on like a 20 second loop. It restarts from the Y2J countdown when Jericho's only halfway down the ramp.
Seriously. And they didn't even get creative with the camera angles to cover it up.
