yooooo this bryan interview with edge and christian
after 45 minutes of talking about breast milk, bryan finally starts talking about G1. he said he didn't bring his indy "vicious mat-based style" to WWE because he though the casuals would think it was too slow.
then he saw ZSJ during the G1 and says "he did it better than I ever did! why did I not think of that?" He thinks ZSJ is a genius.
He also believes Ricochet/Ospreay is unbelievable and says they were doing things in their matches that he could never even conceive.
Bryan heard a story that Hot Topic reps were at a Wrestlemania weekend and they asked WWE "hey we'd like to carry some of those bullet club shirts".
and WWE's like "that's not our stuff"
and hot topic is like "Wtf this shirt is everywhere it's not yours? who's is it?"
bryan idolizes lawler because he had a heart attack and still goes out there to wrestle. same with terry funk. no reason to wrestle (both legends, both well off) but they do it because they love it.
Bryan doesn't watch Raw because he's usually travelling on mondays but he says chad gable and aiden english stand out to him. he praised that randomly amazing gable vs rusev match from a few weeks back.
he mentioned that he was talking to one of the guys working in mcmahon jr's promotion and he told bryan that he's disappointed that he was given a push, felt like he was really impressive but the company ended their push anyways, which is demoralizing. so bryan says "well, hopefully they'll come back around... also when is your contract up? cause it's never been a better time to work the indies!"
re the main event of mania 30: "it was a really cool moment, but I live in the now"
re the people who say "you have a wife and kid now, shouldn't you be happy?" - he says he is happy, but he says the feeling wrestling gives him is something that can't be replaced
around wrestlemania 30, vince told bryan "you know pal, we really want to make roman the next john cena."
bryan's response "i totally support that, but you know something? I want to be the next john cena!"
they found a lesion on his brain and concluded that his reflexes were slower than a mma fighter or athlete, but still faster than a regular person. bryan's response, "oh no! I don't think they realize I'm just a regular person and not a real athlete!"
bryan was ok with doing commentary for cwc and helping get guys over... then they forced him to be smackdown gm. he learned how to cut promos, but was never really a promo guy. obviously his favorite part about wrestling is wrestling. he started feeling sad being around it week to week... and then had to sit ringside for a dean ambrose/aj styles match... "and it literally tore my heart apart. I don't want to be sitting here doing this, I want to be doing that!" at that point he realized "I'm not ok with this", so now he's getting ready for his in ring comeback.
he's done 40 treatments in a hyperbolic time chamber, and his brain scans show legitimate improvement. his doctor tells him if he does 80 more (120 total) his brain will look like someone's who has never played any contact sports. he currently has a brain that resembles an average college football player (ie not someone who is out there that's rough as fuck and maybe more susceptible to head injuries)
he thinks it's ridiculous to say he can't do right now what lawler and funk do in their 60s.
