Uh, if we're going to use the basis of Megatron as 20 feet (which iirc is his true height), he'd have to be the scale of ~18 feet:gun for Starscream (who's a small amount shorter in G1), then you'd have a luger that's about three times the size of a regular one. To simplify, it'd be about three feet long, which is simply frigging implausible for any live-action film to have.

IIRC Megatron is much taller than 20 feet while in robot mode
If you watch the first episodes of G1 Transformers and see Megatron walk right through one of the Dam walls, he looks to be almost 2 1/2 - 3 stories tall.

Well a Story = 10ft, so if he is 2 stories tall, then he is 20ft tall. Thus you answered your own question.


Also, I agree with Don Murphy. I mean if everything transforms to scale, it might be a little more believeable. I mean hell, if they make Megatron a tank, and if you were turn that tank vertical and stretch out the tank treds to make legs, I could see him being at least 15ft tall. So I mean its not like Megatron will transform and be a 5'9" nerd or something.

I'm all for non-shrinking robots, though. It always bugged me as a kid, even though I loved Soundwave. I was deeply conflicted.
