Avatar Frontiers of Pandora update coming this December (3rd person mode, NG+)

Will this update unfuck coop? They removed shared progression in the last update because "potential exploits". Who gives a shit about that in non multiplayer game.

Why add NG+? No one bought the game let alone finished it, myself included

By the far the most sleep inducing, monotonous Ubibloat game out there. It's gorgeous yeah, but that's about it.

I myself much prefer 3rd person over first person but based on most people impressions this is type of Ubisoft game I would hate so I dont think adding 3rd person will automatically make the game better.

I grabbed it not too long ago as well. Haven't played it yet.
You will first need to endure the long opening story and tutorial sequence before it drops you into the open world to experience the graphics.
I'm curious how many people dropped the game before that.

If the update was useful they would put a menu item on the front page. "Give me an Ikran and get me into the world"
Let me fly around. None of that story and game stuff.

Play this game if you like Crysis. Imagine the harbour assault from 1 or the dam mission from 3 existing in a world like Far Cry Primal with really good FPS platforming and some quirky touches.

The mission to get an Ikran was awesome and did the movie justice.

The story and characters are a complete misfire, but I get the sense that Avatar fanatics ate it up. It has this awful "written by HR" mood. Thankfully you can skip most stuff...

When are they going to make first person games like VR games where you move your camera independent of your gun/hand? Can we get some innovation in the console AAA space? This FPS design from the 90 needs to go away.

If the third person is actually done well then i'm in.

I actually enjoyed my first few hours with the game. Just it being a typical FPS bored me, I reckon this would make it a lot more fun.

This is about what you want and expect from a movie tie-in. If Ubi budgeted accordingly, this actually worked out. Historically the best you can really expect from a licensed tie-in is a serviceable or better action romp with plenty of A/V fan service. I'm not an Avatar fan at all, but it seems like they were pretty happy with it on that front. Graphics look nice on youtube.
