Awesome is Tekken 5 artbook. Tekken 5 artbook is awesome.

Baron Aloha

A Shining Example
I picked up my Tekken artbook today from EBGames.

The paper is very much like that of a Brady Games strategy guides (thick and glossy). The cover feels just like the cover from the old Next Generation magazines. The artbook has over 80 pages of artwork covering every Tekken game.

Is this the best pre-order bonus ever outside of the Zelda bonus? All signs point to YES! Anyone thinking about buying T5 this week should definitey pre-order it at EB!

PS. I took some pictures of the book that I would like to post but I am not sure if it violates the TOS. If a mod says its okay I will gladly post them.

Edit: Here are some pics. I will post a few more if it's okay.

Yeah, put up the cover and a few of those inside shots. I'm interested in seeing how Blade and Jin turned out. :)

edit: Blade :lol I meant Raven. RAVEN *coughbladecough*

Awesome! Gamestop.com apparently shipped my Tekken 5 out already, got the shipping numbers.

King of Iron Fist tomorrow! RAWR!

Damn.

I wish I could get these things seperately some times.

Can't afford the game at the moment. :/

I hate to be a prick, or more so a TOO-DEE NOT THREE-DEE idiot, but I prefer when the art books have more hand drawn art than crappy CG in them. I know the rendered stuff is production material too, but . . .

If I wanted to see the CG, I'd pop the damn game in!

All of the CG I've seen in most give away art books at this point has been used in promotional or pre-release materials. I want unseen stuff. Concept drawing. The like.

Oh well. Hopefully someone sacrifices their Tekken book for the Bittorrent scan gods. :)

I wonder if I go reserve tomorrow if they'll hold my copy of the LE until Tuesday next week. I want the fuckin' book BAD.

And that stuff is clearly visible in the scans.

There's actually a good chunk of the book devoted to sketches. I just didn't take that many pics of that section because IMO it's the best part and I wanted to keep it a surprise for people.

Yay!

That's good news.

I was afraid from the sampling you posted it would be along the lines of the Soul Calibur 2 artbook.

I'll have to track down a copy later on down the road.

Anybody know if Gamecrazy is offering these as well?

If you ask me,the Tekken artbook was a waste. If you want to see any of the concept/pre-production stuff, they're already online at the official Tekken site under the gallery section.

Stop playing with my mind! :(

Will the Canadian Electronic Boutiques have this as well? I preordered the Collector's Edition just now and I totally forgot to ask them about this, looks pretty colourful. :D

Agreed, devoting pages to 3D models are stupid. It's all about the concept sketches.

Hawt.

If I preordered Tekken 5 at a EB store like last week and they didn't have the artbook in. Sshould I just drop by tomorrow to see if they have it for pick up?

Wow looks the same quality as the Xenosaga and Tales of Symphonia artbooks. I need this!

Can I still preorder this tommorow and get the book?

preordered it in full today, no artbook ;_; Apparently gamestop stopped accepting artbook with preorder at some point? I hope theres extras or something at launch XD

Who does the sketches for Namco? I've seen his art in Tekken 4, Soul Calibur 2, Soul Calibur, and I think even the original Soul Edge for PSOne. I like his style a lot.
