I thought it would be funny.

Sorry I don't have any boxart for it though.

And hey, the game wasn't that bad, though I just couldn't beat it, haha.

The evils of Camelot are not to be joked with, my good John Harker.

Edit: Also, no, I wouldn't.

ikaruga got tons of hype and sold exceptionally well for a 2d shooter. it's possibly the last game in the genre i'd call "overlooked."

Holy shit, it was Maximo instantly poping into my head when i read your thread title dude. Cool.

PLAY MAXIMO GAMES YOU BASTURDS OUT THERE!!

Amen and Amen. I so loved both Maximo games, and bought Army of Zin on release day. While very slightly inferior to the first game, still an awesome title. I really hope we will see something about the third game at E3. *fingers and toes crossed*

I actually like it better, even if there's a little balance of power swap in combat/platforming and it's a tad easier.

But yeah, seriously though, it's personally my favorite platformer this gen and it's like 14.99 at EB. BUY IT.

I give up then. F-Zero GX then? Or did that sell exceptionally well for a futuristic racer?

f-zero gx sold exceptionally well for trash. but i hate when people "call out" other people's choices in threads like this, so i'll stop.

I would've liked F-Zero was it not for the awkward feeling combat additions. Well, that and the fact that I entirely sucked at it.

I'm just going to back up the Contra speak here. I'd say Konami's PS2 Contra titles are completely overlooked for no good damn reason.

It was just last generation when everybody was begging Konami to stop letting Apaloosa, IIRC, maim the Contra franchise with their rubbish games. Now we have two very nice Contra titles and they vanish almost overnight. WTF?!

I was gonna post Dragon Quarter or Dark Cloud 2, both of which are amoung my favorite games this gen, period .... But I figured we whored them like hell as is.

How is Front Mission 4 overall? I saw it at EB for 12 bucks, almost nabbed it but passed at the last second. Ys is just too expensive to experiment with stilll...

I am so buying Disaster Report now. I had totally forgotten about it.

Um, Way of the Samurai 2. I heard they really botched it though, so I never got around to trying it out.

oh snap really? damn that shit must've blew over my face..... oh and how broken is it? or put it this way is it worth $20, $15, $10, or $5?

Way of the Samurai 2 isn't as good as the original, although it's much bigger. The problem is that if you don't do things exactly the right way you won't get a very interesting story going and you'll miss everything. In part 1 no matter what you do you'd have a story going, in 2 it's very easy to wander around aimlessly until the time runs up and then the game just ends.

I don't think it's completely ruined. If you liked the original it's mostly more of the same. It'll also really help if you look at a FAQ to understand how to get all the story branches going.

Leave it to Lammy!

Damn I loved that game.

Some others:

CIMA
Azure Dreams
Buster Bros. Collection
Incredible Crisis
Rival Schools/Project Justic
Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Vanguard Bandits
Dual Hearts
Cannon Spike
Pokemon Puzzle League
Lufia II

ahh thanks. i'll guess is $10 game. hopefully i'll find it in the bargain bin tomorrow.

The most played games thread reminded me of this. We spent so many hours on the 6 player battle mode alone. Its is by far the best beat em up you will find anywhere.
