Terrible trailer in terms of selling it and showing what it's about. I'm there day one though, completed EA , was awesome. Looking forward to PC show where we should get much better showing.

I love isometric CRPGs. I really liked Divinity OS1&2. Pathfinder WoTR is one of my favorite CRPGs of all time. BG2 is perhaps my favorite CRPG of all times and so on.

For some reason I am not digging BG3. Will give it time to release and patch up a bit and then see.

Really wanna like this but have zero interest in the emphasis on named actors and cast of 'characters' in this. Just kills my interest. Really hoping you can make a party from scratch.

A whole bunch of good games coming out in the fall. I think Alone in the Dark is coming out in December.

Baldur’s Gate 3 day one. Then when I’m done with it (months later) I’ll go to Starfield which should hopefully be nice and patched by then.

Bought EA version a few monthts ago. Waiting for the whole Act 1 to be available early before release to finally start playing beyond the first hour or so.

Surely it can't be the Series S stopping the release of this game? Hell, PC Configs have more variety then bloody XSS.

The existence of the Steam Deck, and ROG Ally blows these developer's arguments out of the water. If you can cram it onto a handheld then I don't believe you when you say you can't get it to work on the Series S.

It isn't like the devs are lying just to piss people off. The issue is getting split-screen coop working and they are having issues with the XSS memory configuration. Remember, both Rog Ally and Steam Deck have 16 GB, rather than the 8GB/2GB of the XSS. Edit: And not like handhelds will be using split screen coop in any case.

They are not the first to say this. Are they all lying?

“Really bummed about this RAM situation on the Series S,” said Axel Gneiting, a principal engine programmer at id Software, in a now deleted tweet. “This isn’t easy to compensate and drags down base spec quite a bit for next-gen multi platform.”

Billy Khan, a lead engine programmer at id Software, shared Gneiting’s concerns. “The memory situation is a big issue on the S,” said Khan in another deleted tweet. “The much lower amount of memory and the split memory banks with drastically slower speeds will be a major issue. Aggressively lowering the render resolutions will marginally help but will not completely counteract the deficiencies.”

Sasan Sepehr, a senior technical producer at Remedy Entertainment, also shared a brief concern. “As a consumer, I love this,” said Sepher on Twitter. “As a Technical Producer, I see trouble.”

Is it playable local coop? Maybe they should scrap the coop feature for the Xbox version.

You really can't make these fanboys understand.

As I had said, series S is the hunch back of this generation.

As long as they don’t mess this up, it’ll be a certain day 1 for me. It should also ease the pain for PS only RPG fans not able to play Starfield.

Maybe that’s the real reason why it won’t be on Series consoles initially, because it would be lost under the shadow of Starfield me thinks.

There’s zero legit reason why this isn’t on the XSX/XSS. Split screen can be removed from the XSS version if that’s the true hold up

Do you expect Larian TO LIE about this?
However, the difference is that split-screen is a gameplay feature, not a visual feature, and at this point the 'requirements' that Larian are describing may not be defined exclusively by the developer, but rather the platform holder: Microsoft.

Or maybe you think the game will sell sooo bad on MS consoles, that there's no need to invest in this ecosystem? Because for me, the above is more plausible than doubts about sales.

As everyone is saying here in the thread, its some technical issues they're having. If they really were that worried about starfield they'd just delay the game altogether

I hated the Divinity Original Sin games so not sure about this. Even if it is a totally different game those graphics/UI give me flashbacks to D:OS and I don't know if I can take the game seriously.

GTFO with this fanboi bulls***. The Steam Deck, ROG Handheld, and PCs have weaker specs.

There’s zero legit reason why this isn’t on the XSX/XSS. Split screen can be removed from the XSS version if that’s the true hold up…but we know it isn’t.

Parity clauses require the same game features for XSX and XSS. PC handhelds are not going to utilize split screen so no idea why they are even being brought up.

So what....you think all these devs are just making this shit up? Larian said there is no exclusivity deal for this game.

I can't stand this early access release model. Is the game out? Is it finished already? Are they releasing this game in parts? I have no clue what's going on with the development timeline and release timeline of this game.

I'm not a smart person though.

Both the Steam Deck and the Ally have as much RAM as the PS5 and the Series X, which is 16GB.
The Series S has half of that, plus a very slow 2GB pool.

The minimum requirements for the game is 8gb of ram. In fact both the cpu and gpu requirements are behind the Series S.
If this is really Series S related problem, its down to the splitscreen option, which the devs literally said.

There's no mandate that states every feature (including co-op) needs to run at an acceptable level on the steam deck, the Ally or any other low spec PC. It can run at 10fps on machines with those kinds of specs and because of the nature of the PC platform and how it works that's completely fine.

So keep crying.

MS’s own parity clause between the S/X is preventing this. Nothing else to do with it. If they’d let them just scrap split screen on Series S it would launch on Xbox.

cause half of the length of these games involves talking to people while making dialogue choices that affect the progression
But there aren't any dialogue choices being made in this trailer. The player character is only seen in a single scene, in which they are shown doing absolutely nothing.

They will not throw in a dialogue bar and ruin the cinematography for the trailer, nor will the excessively show a main character that has no set personality since you control all of his decisions.

So tell me what the hold up is expert or
