DOS2 is a 93, I genuinely expect a 93+ for this...should probably be game of the year but isometric games dont have the same mass appeal as a game like TOTK or Spiderman 2...even tho this game is pushing the rpg genre forward.

From the reviews so far, a few points:

>Minor bugs here and there. Nothing major but you'll still notice them. Biggest and most consistent complaint so far
>Conflicting info on performance, some say it has some performance issues during big fights and such, in which framerate can drop below 60 fps even with a high end PC and less than ultra settings, others say it ran perfectly. Could be API related or hardware specific.
>Quality and attention of detail from the first act maintaned at least as far as act 2, not enough reviewers got to act 3 yet to be able to form concise thoughts.
>Controller support is good but still need some improvements.
>Amazing sound design and soundtrack, but we knew that already.
>LOTs of romance, including many sex scenes, Fextralife even says its easier to end up in one than avoiding them. Don't play with kids around
>YOU CAN MAKE YOUR PARTY RUN AROUND NAKED. Sorry modders, they stole your job.

Still waiting for impressions on act 3/Baldurs Gate city. I think it'll be the greatest factor that'll determine whether this game will be an amazing RPG, or one that has ascended to newer heights and competes amongst the divine.

Bad info!

I maintain that IGN is absolute clownshoes for the "too many spells" comment regardless of when it was made.

game sounds great but it seems like they layered on the perverted stuff too thick. Well, Ill watch for patches/ps5 version maybe. have plenty of games to play.

More impressions i'm seeing.

>Bugs are more frequent towards later parts of the game (as expected), mainly UI issues. However nothing we haven't seen in other rpgs of this type on release, in fact, it actually seems quite "polished" by those standards. So far, nothing game breaking appeared.
>Some performance issues can strike in later acts, the city in particular can be quite demanding (once again, as expected). Might have a memory leak as some people report these problems becoming worse over time and fixing itself upon relaunching the game.

Impressions on some story points by one reviewer who finished one playthrough of the game:

>Absolutely connects with previous games from both game structure and plot. Though still not exactly necessary to know about them.
>Timeline connecting 3 to 2&1 is a bit loose however.
>They nailed choice, consequence and reactivity. Everything ends up in a very satisfying manner that reflects your choices properly. An improvement over DOS2.
>Some context changes from Early Access. The "person you dream at night" is now a "your guardian".
>A couple weaker moments at later bits of the game (though he says it could be because of the bugs he met) but strong story throughout.

I really do not know this franchise other than that I've heard the name for a long time. Never played any game in the series. I am somewhat interested, but at the same time I'm worried about not liking the combat.
Turn-based really isn't my thing in the long run and me not knowing anything about this, makes it a very tough to decide if I should try it or not.

For the people with doubts about the level cap:

>Apparently at lvl 12 you will already be absolutely OP, so no worries on that end. You can finish act 1 with around 6 levels.
>In fact, if you consider yourself a veteran in those types of game, reviewer recommends you to start with tactician right out of the gate. You can very much breeze through the game in normal mode if you're good and know what you're doing.

Score of 9.5 and a praise for visuals that are apparently "stunning throughout". Dude admits in the second paragraph that he's only halfway through the game, so how the fuck would he even know?

Gotta have the review out at launch to get them clicks though. What a joke.
Game only gets better, if your experience is a 9.5 at the half way point for a game with over 1k variations of the ending how do you even properly review "the end"?

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
can't spell ignorant without "ign"
