I was wondering if anyone of you collected baseball cards.

If you do what are some cards you have?
The most worthful?
And where do you get their prices?

I did many years ago. Stopped around the time Stadium Clubs came out. More than about $1.50 for a pack is silly.

I think my highest one was the 89 UD Ken Griffey, but I have no idea what it's worth now. Only really notable stuff I had was like... a 71 Topps Thurman Munson All-Star Rookie (it's got a black border and a horizontal action shot), the 88 Score Rookie and Traded set, 86 Donruss Rookies, and various stuff from 84-91. Clemens rookie, Bonds rookies, etc.

it's all been boxed up for years in the closet of our spare room... wouldn't be surprised if bugs got in there and ruined them or something... silverfish or whatever.

I have every Nolan Ryan Topps card ever made...so probably his rookie card is my most valuable. I'm not sure how much it is worth today though. At one point it was $2,000...its probably about $250 right now, oh well.

Basically, I was a collector from 1989-1993. After all those dumb ass subsets came out and the price for a pack of cards went up over $1.50 I said fuck it. Me and my old man had some good times collecting baseball and football cards...going to shows, opening entire boxes of cards.

It just became too much to handle...because you know you have to get the limited edition hologram-silver bat-Peter Gamaons-Tripple Crown Contender-All-star Rookie sub set!

I have a ton of cards, I haven't looked at them or their prices in a long time though.

My father has almost every Nolan Ryan card ever made.

I have the UD Griffey rookie and that McGwire Topps rookie when he's on the USA team. Had them for years and always thought Griffey would break Aaron's record. Oh well. Wonder how much they go for today.

I have a bunch from the early 90's. I never really liked baseball, but I collected the cards because my best friend did and he always pumped me up, talking about how much money they would be worth.

I still have them today, but I haven't checked on their value in years. I'd imagine most of them aren't worth much since baseball seems like it's getting less popular every year, with the exception of when steroid-addled players go for home-run records.

I collected, mostly Topps from the late 80's to 1996 or so. It just got too expensive, so I got out of it.

I used to collect cards religiously 10-12 years ago, mainly basketball. I used to have a bunch of Shaq rookie cards, but I sold them all off to some dude like 7 years ago or so. The thing was, I could never get anything but 50% of the book price for them from any kind of serious dealers (card shops and shows), and most of them were just a pain in the ass to deal with, they didn't care about some punk kid trying to trade with them. A few years after I stopped collecting, I ran into someone that wanted my lot. I think I got like $250 for it, not bad at the time, even though it was much less than book value of everything (but there was NO way I was going to get full book for anything anyway).

I still have the 1989 complete Upper Deck set, with Ken Griffey Jr's rookie card, so I guess that is my most expensive. Looks like a good condition griffey rookie is going for about $70 on ebay, I remember when it was worth $125.

Oh yeah, I also did those Magic:The Gathering cards for a while, too. That was short-lived.
