One of the reasons why they don't have Cavill nailed down could be because he's crossing his fingers for Bond. IF that happens (we'll know who Bond is by the end of the year) he won't be Superman or Geralt anymore.
And HBO Max as it exists could go away and Discovery just merges Discovery+ with HBO into something new.
What the fuck. This sounds amazing.Leslie Grace and an ensemble that includes J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Brendan Fraser as Firefly, and Michael Keaton as Batman.
You mean the one with all the "look at her ass" in the stage directions? Now I have to see it.
Somebody leak this madness. This is the one Wheedon wrote I believe.
And it cost more than $100 million.how bad must this movie be. hollywood throws garbage into the theater all the time.
The reportedly $70 million movie (the source said the budget was actually more than $100 million), which was doing test screenings for audiences in anticipation of a late 2022 debut, would rank among the most expensive cinematic castoffs ever.
When you’re Bond, your Bond. They don’t want the current Bond being in a separate tentpole franchise at the same time. They make one Bond movie like every 5 years. It's not like Cavill won't have time to work on other projects. Also, in the climate that we're in now, I'm not 100% convinced that they'll cast a straight, white male as the next Bond.
Time to get a marketing firm to unleash a bot army.Do your thing internet. Make them release it.
Someone tag Snyder on Twitter.Time to get a marketing firm to unleash a bot army.
I have an irrational dislike for Leslie Grace so I'm glad this got canceled
I hate her music and even her name. I didn't even know she acted. Why tho?
She's mad cute and was great in In The Heights
The Daily Wire is gonna buy the rights at a discount and reshoot the scenes with Candace Owens.
The Corman Fantastic Four movie in 1994 was completed, scrapped, and then Avi Arad burned the original negative.
13 Completed Movies That Were Never Released
These movies have been shot, edited, and are ready for distribution, but for one reason or another, they're gathering dust on a shelf.screenrant.com
WB has no quarrels with releasing a bad movie (see: Birds of Prey). The issue is that it simply wasn't worth the time, effort, and money to finish Batgirl because reshoots (to fix the movie) and other post-production stuff costs even more money that they will never see again. After all, this movie was never intended to be a big money-maker like a theater release, it was intended to be an incentive to subscribe to HBO Max.I keep thinking about this. How bad could the movie be that not only is WB willing to eat a 90 million dollar hit, but to announce that hit publicly and in full view of its investors.
With that much money and clout at stake I wouldn't be surprised if writers and producers start losing kneecaps in the coming weeks and months.

I wish for a Batman Beyond movieNot looking good for Michael Keaton's return to Batman, eh? They should have given him a stand alone film.
If other people were brave enough to release CATS, someone from WB should release this too.
Maybe Anonymous will do the world a favor.....They've decided to write the whole damn thing off as a tax deduction, which tends to suggest it's so horrible that they thought they couldn't make any money out of it whatsoever.
I am now desperate to see it just to see how fucking terrible it truly is. Had no interest before now
You keep repeating this as if it has ANY relevance AT ALL to how current casting would be.craig was bond for almost 20 years and only made 5 bond films. He was in several films that could have been big franchises had they been more successful, Broccoli can't lock down an actor from recurring roles for that long. When you’re Bond, your Bond. They don’t want the current Bond being in a separate tentpole franchise at the same time.
Honestly, I'd love to see the workprint/screening version of this movie, with all the incomplete effects. Bat keaton was such a terrible idea, dont get me wrong, i love batman 89, but saying “hey! Old ass michael keaton is gonna be the new batman in our connected universe!” Was an awful idea, and was clearly done out of desperation. Honestly? They should let reeves and phillips continue to make batman and joker films seperatley. But everything else should be scrapped and this whole thing needs to be rebooted. Give is a superman movie that executives actually have faith in to be the lynchpin of this universe like cavil should of been. And if all else fails, just fucking stop trying to make a connected universe like marvel and focus on high quality individual films like the batmanBefore commenting on this cancellation I think people should properly understand what's happening behind the scenes. With David Zaslav and Alan Horne steering WB, this might be a sign of people who know what they are doing being in charge. Batgirl should never have been a direct to streaming movie, a high budgeted series maybe, but not a low budgeted streaming movie.
At this point I wouldn't be surprised if the entire Flash film gets cancelled to remove Batkeaton entirely from the DCEU. I personally have not liked this idea or direction at all.
Announce a Man of Steel 2 and a stand alone Batfleck film and things will be back on the right track.
