I want to like Batman, but I hate Christian Bale so much. He looks like the lost Baldwin brother and that last scene in the last trailer is cringe-worthy.
That and 'the tumbler'. And the fact that it doesn't seem to have the awesome feel of the first movie.

The scarecrow kicks ass, though. I like him.

I'm optmistic about the movie but it just doesnt feel very Batman to me. It has the name, the suit, the villains but it doesn't feel batman the way Burton's did.

I have to agree, I've hated Christian Bale ever since American Psycho. He pissed me off in Shaft as well. I probably won't see this cause of him, which is sad because other than him (and the new Batmobile) the movie looks pretty nice.

I have been in the minority for awhile on the new batmobile. I think it looks awesome, it is much more practical then a neon jet engine with 10 foot fins. And this movie is much more closer to the comic book batman then any of the others. It's focusing on the characters, the story and the grit. Kind of like Batman Year One. I could tell this was going to be a kick ass movie when they announced the actors and director being top notch class. I can't think of any other movie, maybe sin city, with this calibur of actors - Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Ken Watanabe. And then the two villains are just perfect for a story driven movie.

I have faith in Christopher Nolan, but he has failed me in the past (Insomnia) This preview is awsome stuff.

Now after watching this twice, bale really is the dark knight in just about all ways. And this movie better kick some ass, cause it looks like a lot of fun.

How can anyone hate Christian Bale! @_@

Anyway, some parts of the promo looked great. Mainly shots of Batman not doing anything, but that's the easy part because the comics have already framed the shots. Other parts make me worry a little, like the cutesy sense of humor and the overall blandness of the whole thing. Gotham looks way too nomal IMO, and Katie Holmes is a great looking girl, but I she doesn't seem to fit. Gary Oldman is the man, but he looks a little too artifical. It looks like he bought that mustache at Family Dollar.

The movie looks to focus on the right things...substance over style, which is the only thing those overrated Burton turdburgers ever had going for them. I wanna see how Bruce came to be the Bat, the training involved, the way the Batman part of him overtook the Wayne side, his relationship with Alfred, Gordon and Fox, and how is training is put to the test in battle. And I reckon this movie should have most of those elements in there. The only question I have at this point is the execution.

I thought it was the first ten minutes not a ten minute promo, threw me off for the first couple of minutes :lol

I think it looks superb, Bales batman voice is cool and the training stuff looks as great as it sounded in the script. Im not sold on the look of the tumbler but the incredibly meaty sound it puts out is awesome, every kid who sees this movie is gonna want one.

Jaws: Revenge was on the other day and it reminded me how awesome Michael Caine is (even though the movie was a joke), cant wait to see him in this.

Very... batman? Because you think Burton Batman was better?

:lol Yeah, Caine manages to make Jaws: Revenge somewhat watchable.

Cool clip, Spike.

This could very well be the best blockbuster of the summer and I'm totally psyched for it. I really hope Nolan hits it out of the park with this one. I think I'll take my Dad for Father's Day.

Was this part of the 10-minute promo? Or is this new?

Pretty cool training stuff, it's like a segment of the movie.

Yep it was. The scene at the end of that clip is one of my favorites in the preview as it shows more of the fight on the ice with the conclusion of Ducard's "Your parent's death was not your fault....". Bruce strikes at Ducard who counters with a block from his gauntlets, pushes the sword back against at Wayne and cold blooded says to him in his face: "It was your father's!!!". The look on Bale's face....

Not long now. Shame alot of the media is focusing more on Tiny Tom and Katie Holmes even when they had the world premiere for BB last night in Japan.

Would you rather there be bright neon colors with black lights and nipples on the batsuit?

Ever since I learned about how Burton/Schumacher's Batman could not turn his head while in that suit I just can't stop laughing everytime I see those movies now. :lol

To some it's a fairly minor thing, but those cutaways of Batman having to turn his entire torso like that to face someone in mid fight is just :lol

Ive never been able to take Batman completely serious... and their is my problem.

Im not going to complain as im sure the hardcore fans are getting what they have always wanted from this film.

uhhhhh.......wha?!?!? 0.o

He said the Burton movies were shit.

Couple more weeks now...I'm planning to watch this twice, once at a cheap theatre for about $4.25 Canadian, then the second time at an IMAX joint.

That's a pretty great preview. I really like how crisp and smart the dialogue is. The look of it is great. What has always impressed me about Nolan's films are the sound design and editing. I hope that Batman Begins retains that style.

And how anyone can hate the Batmobile is beyond me. That thing looks monstrous, which is exactly how it should look.

Yeah, that was great, can't wait to see what his actual reaction is, but you know that if Lucas wrote it, Bale would be like 'NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo!!!' and chop off Neeson's arm. And man, Apple's 1080p trailer show how great the cinematography is. I can see Batman's wierd voice putting people off though.

Well, that's the problem with comics. Not a care in the world for the translation to real life. Always think more of what's imaginable. Part of their charm too.

But this suit doesn't even look like it fits. :/

This preview invigorated my interest in this film.

I wish they would just let them do a straight up film version of DKR, as Miller/Rodriguez has shown us that it is completely possible to do such a thing.

Ah, well.

Opening day. I'll be 'dere.

Wow. Well, it's not a big deal. I just wonder is that whole first year thing suppossed to rationalize everything.

The mask doesn't look like it's going to fall off at all. And have you ever been in a wetsuit? That's how they bend when you move. C'mon.
