man... the more i watch the teaser, the more i'm convinced that affleck could go down as the best batman/bruce to date. too bad the film's probably going to suck.

it's a bummer they're not doing a standalone film for batman anytime soon.

This sounds like a little "fuck you" to Superman's fans lol. He's a guest star in his own sequel, he's "smaller" than Batman (even smaller than Diana), and he's probably going to get his ass kicked somehow by Batman. Wow

people still think it's a supes movie???

aaaahahahah. the moment it has been announced, it wasn't going to be supes and friends.

I assume by "smaller" you mean size... traditionally Superman is shorter than Batman and both should be dwarfed by Wonder Woman.

One of the cooler moments of New Frontier when she gets off the table.

As for size, in theory, Bruce and Diane should be bigger than Superman since he doesn't really need to work out... still never got how he is so shredded.

If Batman fought Zod, he'd probably be eviscerated.

Rumor is 2019 for the solo Batman film. Here's what the schedule looks like right now for DC movies (source):

Mar 2016 - BvS
Aug 2016 - Suicide Squad
June 2017 - Wonder Woman
Nov 2017 - JL Part One
Mar 2018 - Flash
July 2018 - Aquaman
Apr 2019 - Shazam
June 2019 - JL Part Two
Apr 2020 - Cyborg
June 2020 - Green Lantern

Over thinking costume mannequins, I'll be happy if Wonder Woman is eye level with Superman. Her suit is fantastic with the filter removed.

She's only 2 inches and a bit shorter than Cavill. I'm sure her heels will bring her up to his level. I just want all three (and then seven!) to be standing side by side in silhouette.

Batsuit (dat bulge) and WW costume look real good. I hope the latter actually retains that amount of color on film, and isn't all in the dark red we saw in the teaser image.

Pretty much.

Logically, Superman should be fit, not a beefcake.

I thought that traditional (in the comics) Superman is taller than Batman.

Superman being 6'3 and Batman being 6'2.

(I realize this is ridiculous argument though, judging from real actors compared to......characters made of paper. lol)

Superior Kryptonian genetics.

Written by Goyer too. LOL. Isnt the WGA really strict on this ? It must mean he really wrote quite a lot of the script .

Arbitration on screenplay credits is never a great way to automatically determine how much of a script is actually the screenwriter's. It seems like it should be that way, but it's not that way very often.

He penned the story, Terrio wrote the Dialogue

Terrio wrote way more than just the dialogue.

Things I learned from this trailer:

-The cinematography/aesthetics look much more "comic booky" than they did in MOS.
-Ben Affleck looks GREAT in the suit, and that one shot of him standing on top of the tower is vintage Batman.
-It seems like there's a mixed opinion on Superman in universe post-MOS, which makes sense.
-That last shot is ridiculously cool from a fanboy perspective.
-The colors on Superman's suit "pop" much more than they did in MOS.
-The titles DAWN of Justice is very much an intentional one. My guess is that this movie ends with the two of them on more or less cordial terms with each, and the JL beginning to come together (hence the WW appearance, and Aquaman/Cyborg cameos).
-Oh and Jeremy Irons sounds really good as Alfred.

Plus, the WW costume looks great.

7pm PST at the theater I am heading to.

YMMV depending on where your time zone is.

Mine is at 7 PM Mountain. I've seen a few times floating around at really random times (7:15) so I'm sure it's based on time zone, what time the last movie in that particular theater ends, and so on.

I'll be sure to tell everyone what extra stuff we got in the IMAX trailer, as well as any swag. I'm going to be decked out in Batman apparel so hopefully whoever hands that stuff out will take the hint haha

Seriously. The first word in the title is fricken Batman for crying out loud

exactly.

Every report about the script say it's a Superman's move first and foremost. It's not going to be Batman and friends

it might be about supes and his screwups, yes. doesn't mean batman is fodder or side character, or supes should be there for every minute of it.

some supes fans are just salty. they want more supes, but dc thinks otherwise.

they jsut take the "oh it's a man of steel sequel" literally. it means they're doing a justice league, so supes screen time is going to be halved. "man of steel sequel" just meant dc is going to continue the story that was laid out on mos movie, but they wanna rush to the justice league movies.

Oh give me a break. Batman is first because a. B comes before S, and b. he's coming after Superman (the "v." refers to a legal complaint, and the name that comes first is the one lodging the complaint). Affleck's name comes first because he's a far bigger star (just like Jack Nicholson got top billing in Batman 89, Arnold Schwarzenegger in B&R, RDJ in the Marvel films etc). And EVERYTHING about this, including Batman's appearance, points to it continuing on the events/ideas from MOS.

Honestly, people are desperate to grasp ANY little thing so that they can bitch and moan about this movie, no matter how tenuous. It's kind of sad TBH.

My understanding was, according to some insiders, Goyer's name is only on here due to contracts and deals already in place. The script was a hot mess and not ready to film, and Affleck freaked and brought on Argo's writer as part of his agreement to sign on.

Again, could be bs, but makes about as much sense as any of the development of this movie had. I just remember before filming how much things changed.

Batman is first because Batman is the bigger super hero. Always was and always will be.

Hey, aren't we supposed to be getting a domestic trailer today, too, or was that just a rumor?

The rumor was the one that leaked was an international cut, but it was exactly the same as the official one they caved and posted online. The IMAX event tonight will have new clips, but otherwise it'll be the same. I'm going to the event so I'll let you all know what was different.

No, you're right. That's exactly what happened.

IIRC Affleck was PISSED when he read Goyer's version.

:lol

To be a fly on the wall...

Cool. Thank you for clarifying.

Rumor is they are giving out those posters, so that is the big reason I am going.

If true, I hope they are full sized and doubled sided.

Link? Any good articles about this?

Really glad to hear that. Definitely makes me more hyped

So many rumors around this one, but I believe story was like Affleck felt the fights lacked any emotional weight... so he asked for the script to be punched up a bit.

Then they delayed production a few months, and they decided to rewrite the script.

Not a rumor if it comes from the director of the film! :P

Heck, forget comic book movies. We have decades of fantastic films featuring ensemble casts. I didn't need a individual movie for every character before seeing stuff like 12 Angry Men, Ocean's 11, The Dirty Dozen, The Magnificent Seven, The Fellowship of the Ring, Saving Private Ryan, Heat, The Departed, Pulp Fiction, or Star Wars etc etc.

All of those films (and many, many more) had a ton of characters to introduce and they got along just fine. Plus, they didn't have the added benefit of featuring characters that were already extremely iconic and that audiences were familiar with going in. It really shouldn't be a concern. Like, at all.

It isn't simply that it's an ensemble, nor is it as simple as "a crossover between comic book characters". The Avengers worked because it wasn't just a comic book crossover, it was also a crossover between four existing film series too. Like it wasn't just "see the team from the comics", it was also "see the team made up of the heroes from these different movies". You need to remember that the whole drawing factor isn't simply that it's an ensemble film with lots of characters, like Star Wars or LOTR, but that it's meant to be a crossover of a bunch of different properties, in this case Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, but only three of them will actually be properties on film before the crossover. The Avengers lineup was Iron Man, Thor, Cap. America, Hulk, Black Widow (significant supporting role in IM2), and Hawkeye, and guess what, Hawkeye suffered in the film for being "the new guy" (other than the blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in Thor).

You can still do the big crossover, but I don't think it will hit the same sweet spot of the Avengers 1 as being both an adaption of the comic book team and a crossover of existing movie series that would appeal to non-comic readers as well.

Not that a Justice League film would have been able to hit the same spot anyway, just on account of it not having the bonus of being the first of its kind as Avengers 1 was.

Highlight from the trailer for me was Ben Affleck nailing "the man who has seen too much darkness" stare and lowpoint was that weird scene with Supes holding the missile.

Double sided, most likely, but if that leaked itinerary is true, the term they used for the posters (I forget what they're called at the moment) tend to be a lot smaller than a full sized poster. My TDKR one is roughly 15.7" x 20"

The other rumor said t shirts too, so I'm sure there will be goodies galore.
