Yeah, not exactly mind-blowing are they? :) I'm downloading the trailer now, let's see if it's more promising.
 
They better keep this crap off the 360 and port the wonderful Battlefield 2 (PC) to the console, instead.

edit: Actually, the trailer looks pretty good for an Xbox game. Still this game is nice for current gen, but a nice port of Battlefield 2 (and expansion) on 360 would be lovely.
 
Uh, they could do the PC version's graphics, but all the stuff that makes it good (squads, commander mode) would be difficult to do on a console.

I sincerely doubt they could match a decent to high end PC in the graphics department.

On the Xbox 360? I assume you say this because of a lack of faith on behalf of the people that will port it, not the power of the 360.
 
gfx dont really mean shit IF the maps are huge and the game supports multi-class play.
i wouldnt care if they were PSX type gfx, just as long as the gameplay is there...

but hey! thats just me.

The demo is one of the most popular games on Live! It's incredible fun and actually looks fairly decent in play. As far as massive console shooters, there's nothing that really compares to it. Apparently they've done a great job capturing the feel of the PC title.
 
If you haven't played this game then you simply cannot knock it!

I haven't played any other game on Live since I purchased this demo. I know that I'd like the PC version better because it seems to be more "serious" but this is as close as I can get. The graphics look great on my tv.

I wish they show screens for the 360 version.
 
Looks ALOT worse than the all low settings on BF2 :lol

Actually the gameplay is the biggest problem. It doesnt compare to the PC version. No surprise as i hear this is using a different developer. Poor man's version as someone said. Still i will buy this and any other BF game that come sout :P
 
be interesting to see if they can do battlefield 2 on the next gen consoles,because the pc version eats ram for fun,with medium textures it uses 600mb ram with high textures it uses 1.2gb of ram.but u definetely wanna hope they do cos its easily the goty so far this year :)
 
I've actually had the demo for like a month (Best Buy had em), but turned it off after 5 minutes when I realized it was just full of typical 14 year old Xbox Live faggots.

And yes the visuals are less than a PC rig, but the gameplay is still heaven on the xbox.

I'll play the xbox demo until the 360 version hits.

I'm sorry, all the 14 year old faggots on Xbox Live have really desensitized me to the word faggot, because the faggots keep calling everyone faggots. I guess it has made me think that faggot is an acceptable term to call a 14 year old faggot, because they're faggots.
 
I'm eagerly anticipating BF2: Modern Combat. I played the demo on Xbox and to be quite honest, I enjoyed it more than Battlefield 2. That's not a knock at BF2 at all, because it's an awesome game, and I really like it, I just got into Modern Combat more.

Not to mention I'm more skilled with a controller than a mouse and keyboard :lol
 
Jeez, it doesn't look so bad. Some blurry textures and everybody goes nuts. Of course I'd rather have the PC version, but dropping a couple of Franklins is not something I can really do right now. Hopefully this will be good, because it looking a little iffy right now. :/
 
That looks exactly like the Xbox demo.

And no there's no squads or commander mode. Hell, you can only drop one pack of C4 at a time. How are you supposed to make a Jihad Jeep?
 
Yeesh... how can someone be serious and say that it is superior to the PC version?


Oh well .. hopefully it does well, and motivates the 14 yr old kiddies to play the grown up version on the PC.

That's not true. After you lay down one c4 you press Y to bring up another one.

i just see very little going on in those shots. im kind of spoiled by BF2 though.

its looks like dogshit, but that does not mean it wont be fun. i am very capable of enjoying a game thats fun to play, but looks like crap.

these screens are pretty yucky though. :( hope it plays ok.
 
The online beta testing for Battlefield Modern Combat was a blast, even though you really couldn't hear anyone using the mic IMHO. Dare I say I had more fun beta testing this than SOCOM 3? :X
