Battlefield 4: Second Assault DLC tomorrow!!

Second Assault is live on PS4 for North America. Bottom of the list of add-ons, under weapon shortcuts.

Edit: On the PS4 store. Beaten to actually being live by a while apparently.

Flood Zone is garbage for so many reasons. Sure the campers on the other team suck but it's even worse when you're playing Conquest and you have 10 of your teammates camping on top of the taller buildings. Only about half of the 64 players actually plays the objective.

I know there are ways to make the enemy campers pay, but what about your own teammates ? Do you yell at them ? Toss smoke grenades at them ? Sometimes if we're loosing badly, I'll hit them with some friendly fire out of frustration.

You aim the transport copter at them and then jump out.
 
the real question is.....I have it for ps3, does oman have the sandstorm on ps3? or did they take it out?

I assume they have it in because ps3 version of the game has all the levelution crap.
 
Didn't know the sound loop bug was reinstated with the Feb, 13th patch. Hope they fix it soon, I just convinced a friend BF4 was in a more playable state (lulz). He hasn't been able to play because of that fucking bug. God damn, Dice.

Is it that bad that he can't play ? The only sound problems I've ever had is there will be no sound the first 10 seconds of some matches. That's it, and I've been playing since Launch on PS4. I've played around 100hrs so far. I have an average internet connection at best.
 
Wow holy shit I forgot how much of a fuck up BF4 was. After enjoying some time having no issues on Titanfall beta, I decided to try out the "new" BF4 maps and what do you know straight away the game disconnects me "disconnected from EA servers" apparently.

Then when I eventually get into the game its stuttering like hell no idea why never did before so I leave and try a different server and now every time I join a game I play for a couple minutes and boom it freezes! and have to force close the game in task manager.

What a fucking great job DICE so much for the we'll fix the game before releasing any DLC.

Rant over going to go back to Titanfall and enjoy the rest of that.

I think Locker is a pretty good map with smaller playercounts. Just like Metro there is a critical mass of explosive spam that will render the gameplay a clusterfuck. Keep the player/explosive limit beneath that and they're not bad maps.

I've heard that, but I checked up on a BF3 24/7 64 player Metro server and saw people with 700 game hours in there. And the server was full. If no one liked 64 player Metro then the server would never fill up like that.

This is honestly the most fun I've had with BF4 in quite awhile.

Never really liked Conquest but playing Conquest Large is just amazing, especially on Caspian Border (a map I hated in BF3)

It's still on shaky ground on PS3. Game froze up 8 times on me. 4 times on a friend and 2 times on another friend. All about 4-6 days ago during the same play session. We haven't played much since.
 
game looks so good on ultra - i've been playing with some settings on high/medium to hit 100+fps. The framerate is so variable its hard to tell, one map you get 130+ the next you get 90.

I hated that part so much on BF3 because it was basically Recon/Assault fests that was annoying as shit for the attackers (or sometimes, the defenders).
Good that they finally made that horrid part of the map a little bit more open.
Other than that is 64 player Metro conquest worse than Locker?

Ultra with 100fov, 4xMSAA, medium PPAA and I stay over 100 at 1080p except on Oman and Shanghai. Most every other map averages around 150-200 with dips into the 110-120 range pending the action.

Yeah, he describes being able to play anywhere from 3 seconds to a 10 minutes until the game freezes while the sound loops.

lol love the pictures but i got sidetracked reading the chat. Everyone is being called a fat fuck. Classic bf4 players.
 
just played the 3 matches of second assault and got no rubber banding and the steadiest frame rate ive seen in this game (over all its pretty good as it was but it was damn near perfect). during the sand storm on oman there was no slow down at all which was the most impressive. even with a ton of explosions going off at one of the objectives. i wonder if its because they had extra time to actually complete their work on these. did anyone else have a similarly pleasant experience? so far so good. im on ps4 by the way

Every society has its share of crazy people. You can't use them as your baseline.
 
Can't wait to play these maps although the bugs are really starting to wear on me in BF4. Magical missiles that go through an ECM or hit you before you even get the first tone to know someone is ATTEMPTING to lock on to you, one Stinger missile magically taking my A-10 out at full health at random times, one missile being enough to rock your helo into the ground depending on where it hits you, base AA being able to own the skies from miles away, and countless other things considering I only listed some of the problems for air vehicles only.

Second Assault will revitalize the game for me, but they really need to start fixing shit. I knew this game wasn't going to be balanced, but to be buggy on top of that is rough. I said before this game launched that I was worried about them making engineers even bigger one-man wrecking crews and sure enough, they did just that. At least they tried to make Metro a little bit better but I'm sure plenty of crazy people will be disappointed with any changes made to it since some of them actually only played that map. It's sad when people rather play a map like that solely for kills than a good map to WIN.

Great game with a lot of issues. The fact that they defended their low tickrate was pretty sad too.

There's no strategy involved, it's just chuck grenades, ammo packs and health kits. Metro is of the same cloth but it's better IMO. I've had some intense matches in Metro on PS3, I'm not sure how it'd be with 64 players though.

Leave the server and try playing a different server/gametype and your unlocks should be back. Been happening to me the past couple days on Ps4. Seems to be related to the server provided it is the same issue I experienced.
 
Whoa, huge fan of the new feature to do a quick match with a certain map pack! I was getting sick of filtering for China Rising(not that I enjoyed it much) maps.
Going back to Oman and Firestorm is sooo good, this is more like it.

With all the problems their customers had to deal with (and are still dealing with, can't get through the campaign due to dumping saves) we deserve something. Some free DLC would have went a long way towards mending some fences. Instead EA cashes in. I'm not buying.

Oh thank goodness, that was a major complaint of mine. Also, I wish you could just make your own custom rotation, because Guilin Peaks is actually one of my favorite maps, but I can't really stand the two huge maps in CR.
 
Man, I really dont like BF4 as much as I thought I would, and really am indifferent to most of the maps, but I really want this one. The BF2 maps look glorious, and Caspian is damn nice. Metro can go to hell, really surprised we don't have Wake Island
