Battlefield 6 reveal during 3 day EA event on July 29th

Fail to meet expectations, or is no longer relevant? Make up your mind which argument you want to take up here.

Both are true. BF has been bad for so long, it has become irrelevant in the gaming space. And it's going to take a lot to change that.
And with EA touting they expect this game to have 100 million players, it's extremely likely that it will fail to meet expectations.
Even to reach just 1/10th of that, it will still be a steep climb.

Oh, 500 hours in BF2042? My bad, didn't realize that made you the official opinion police. lmfao

Oh, I will. From what I've seen, this is basically BF2042 with a new hat
Cant be more wrong. Multiple people here who have played the alpha said its nothing like 2042, including me.

I've seen the gameplay footage myself, and to me, it still looks almost identical to 2042

And I'm not exactly alone in that too

I haven't played it though

I agree with the fail to meet expectations because EA is going to EA…but relevancy I can't agree with. Sure, it's not as relevant as it was, but to straight up say it's just not relevant anymore is crazy extreme lol

I didn't think it looked that better either, but I haven't played it.

If people who have played it are telling me it's better then I'm going to take their word for it. I'm in no position to argue if I haven't sampled it myself.

Sure, I get that. Playing the game and just watching gameplay footage are definitely two different experiences. But honestly, I don't need to have played it myself to see the similarities it has with 2042. Sometimes, the visuals and mechanics speak for themselves, even through a screen

A 3-day EA event!!?
What are they going to show on the other 2 days?
There is a brand new massive campaign being worked on by EA Motive and Criterion. DICE has given up trying to do campaigns and EA had other studios with single player experience make one. Motive said their goal was to make a narrative driven Battlefield campaign.

There is also a battle royale mode.

My guess is MP on Day 1.
SP on Day 2.
Battle royale F2P on Day 3.

Wow possibly the best solution because even the community doesnt know what it wants. This way anyone can play the way they want. Awesome stuff and open beta in early august!
BF Community is retarded. They shat on BF1 for years begging for it to go back to the basics and when DICE did exactly that with BFV they got butthurt and went back to BF1 posting videos about how its still really great. Like bitch, you literally shat on the arcadey feel of the game for years and now you are going back to it?

DICE keeps listening to the wrong playerbase. Stick to your vision and make the game you want to make. BF1 was a masterpiece and outsold cod for the first time ever. Doing a 180, removing the most popular mode operations to appease conquest purists, and nerfing the shit out of guns just sucked all the fun from the franchise and forced people to go back to CoD.

I am not surprised no one liked 2042. If you listen to everyone, you appease no one.
