Battlefield 6 will not require the EA app on Steam, but will require it on EGS.

Oh thank lord.
Can someone help. Bought BF1 on steam, EA App auto installed and all, and then game launch says, cannot launch with older version of EA Anti Cheat. And then afterwards, "This software cannot be used at the same time as the game.". Billion dollar companies still can't make Launchers or their own game work.

DO I NEED EA APP TO PLAY BATTLEFIELD 6?

Steam players will not need to use EA App to play Battlefield 6 but will need an EA account. Those who purchased Battlefield 6 via the Epic Games Store will need EA App and an EA account to play.

But... why would anyone buy bf6 or any other game for that matter on that shop if it's similar price on steam? For half hmmm no.

Very glad to hear this.
Think there's any chance they go back and update the older BF games to not need a separate launcher?

I own BF 3, 4, 1, and 5 on EA Play but I'd buy them again during a sale on Steam if it meant not having to use a non-Steam launcher.

Launch via the EA App

Why don't pc player unions agree on one store launcher? So many launchers is just wrong, and this isn't a concern on consoles.

Fyi It is slightly cheaper (10%) on EA than Steam if you have an EA Play sub (I have it via Game Pass for me).

who are the weirdos that would even consider downloading it on the Epic Store?

I bet they exist... but, like, why?
