I found the inner speech about feeling like an old man while the adult woman talking to him is a little girl quite affecting.
Child actors are real hit or miss, usually miss, but given this kid never acted before he did a phenomenal job.

Any movie concerning this subject is inevitably disturbing, but this had a much more, maybe not happy, but hopeful ending than expected. Though not unearned. Big thumbs up to the whole thing, especially the photography of the environment in Ghana.

Just got around to watching this, it was really well made with some great performances. Abraham Attah was phenomenal, total had me captured by his performance.

I almost turned it off at one point as it was getting quite disturbing but I wanted to see it threw to the end and I'm glad it did. Really really good film, they tackled the subject matter very well. I hope the people that typically wouldn't go cinema for this type of movie watch it on Netflix, as its one of the best movies of the year (2015) for sure.

Dude, Tripod! Like, I get why he's called that, but I couldn't not stare whenever he was on screen. I felt like his presence even kind of distracted from some of the more important scenes where I feel like maybe I was supposed to pay attention to, like, the action or the performances or...anything other than him. lol

This movie was AMAZING. that scene where they were taking the bridge had me standing up out of my seat. Idris Elba was fantastical. AGUUU

The chant and dance with Elba before "taking the bridge" was very powerful stuff.
