Meier, where in the hell do you get the newer scanslations of Beck? You got me hooked a few years back (with a webpage full of them), I need more damnit! I've dropped off it for a long while, I think its time I got back into it.

PM me plz

*brain melting down at the thought of V20 and V21 after the beck hype thread and continuing anime eps.*

Also, I would like to lash out GAF, thanks to past threads just lying around on the floor and a lack of BECK releases, I somehow also became addicted to Hajime no Ippo. Damn you. -_-;

I'm not sure I'm gonna like this arch after reading the manga

where the hell is the rest of the manga anyway?

just found out the manga is licensed now I may never find another chapter again :(

In the past few days I've read through the first 58 chapters and all I have to say is that Beck is hot fire. I give it a rating of five Dylans.

Btw, anyone know if there are full versions of the songs in the Beck anime?

1998 peoples downloading it and my bittorrent can only reach 20 kb/s sigh. Yet the upload goes up to 68 less than 5 minutes after opening it.

Is there a way to speed up a bittorrent file? My connection can usually go up to appr. 400 kb/s

Anyway, cant wait for 20. Is it true that there is only 7 episodes left?

man im suffering serious beck withdrawl now that mangascreener isnt doing them anymore.. gotta head down to Little Tokyo and get the new issues i guess

Episode 22 is out. I can't believe only 4 more and it's done. :( Beck is meant to be an anime with being a musical and all. I just hate that we only get to see 26 episode of this series.

But who wants to read a freaken manga of a anime about music... Sorry, but the music is one of the things that keeps me watching beck... And seriously, it's very hard to imagin just reading it....

This show HAS to have a 2nd season, or head's will roll.

The Manga has superior in every way.

I would think so too but it's a musical series. Yes they still release the music in mp3 format but it's not the same.

yeah but there's more to it than hearing pieces of the songs in every episode. Character developments, art, and such. The music was actually a huge worry when the anime was first released because no one had any idea how they would handle the sounds. Imagining the sound of the music yourself was just fine.

I really hope so. I wish it was popular in Japan. But since I haven't heard about it's ratings there, I'm not counting on it.

I thought the anime was preety faithful to the manga. But I know where you getting at now. Just my personal preference. :)

How's the manga better then the anime? I havn't seen any of the manga? but the anime is freaken great... how can the manga be better??

because there's more, the art is cooler, and things are more developed. The anime is great though, no question.

how can the manga be better??

The anime cut out a lot of sequences in the manga, and the manga is also a whole lot more adult in nature (just read it to see what I mean). Now of course, there's the whole music aspect, but some manga readers would argue that it's better to not hear music so we can just imagine how powerful the music is from the emotions the characters display in the manga. A lot of people are disappointed that the music in Beck anime doesn't live up to what they were hoping for - and I would have to agree on that too. Chiba's rapping doesn't sound like music that would attract people, and Koyuki could stand to use a singer who can actually pronounce english correctly. Bleah.

Yeah. I love the music, but Koyukis voice was a huge dissapointment. It's nowhere near as good as I expected it to be.

He was supposed to have shitty english.

Exactly. I don't know why people who read the manga are complaining about this.
