You forgot that guy that looks like David Schwimmer, Troy Garrity. On the surface he's just your whiny annoying character but he does some really sublime acting in this. For instance, look for his reactions when the other characters are excited about something in the beginning.

Lots of famous actors are in movies before they hit the big time your brain doesn’t make a note of who they are. You rewatch said film later then you go wow. I love when it happens.

Sam Rockwell is in galaxy quest.
Alan Rickman in Robin Hood and Die hard.

Jason Statham in Lock Stock. (When Vinnie Jones was a bigger star back then )

Johnny Depp in nightmare on em street

Javier Bardem in collateral

Benicio Del Toro in fear and loathing Las Vegas.

Scarlett Jo in The Horse Whisperer, already infiltrating that Hydra boss.

Harrison Ford in Kung Fu
George Clooney in Street Hawk
Jack Black in Neverending Story 3

Actors do what actors do.

Sure Troy, I'll totally keep an eye out for your "sublime acting" 🙄

Geez, it's Benedict Cumberbunch's last name that's confusing, not his first name. So Benedict Wong shouldn't be hard.

Try harder OP. I am disappoint.

He was the representative of the voice of higher reason dialogue between the outer world and the adept in Annihilation.

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
It's been too long since I've seen that movie, I need to watch it again.

There used to be a popular topic here on GAF "Hey it's that guy" or something specifically for noticing big actors in older movies. It's probably archived but we could do with a new one.

Before the final battle with Thanos Tony Stark used some pimm particles to go back and smash Aunt May when she was younger and hotter.

I didn't care for this movie upon first watch. I remember finding it overlong and pretentious. But - it may be due for another viewing, that was a long time ago.

Huh, I didn’t know he was in that. I should go back and rewatch that film. It just didn’t click for me. But so many people seem to love it. Maybe I was just in the wrong headspace when I saw it.

The cast for that film was crazy-stacked. Even for 2007, it's still got notable names. A ton of talent in that cast. The film was interesting. I enjoyed it, but it ran into some issues for me in the 3rd act. But I applaud the effort, as it's a fairly original sci-fi flick.

Good movie.

I remember the trailer blatantly spoiling the deaths of at least 3 characters. It also kicked off the trend of using Lux Aeterna in every fucking fan-created trailer on YouTube.

Just finished watching this because of this thread and it feels like I've seen parts of this movie before.

Like the sun observation room but maybe others media has mimiced it so could be a false memory.

Anyways really neat movie and kind of disheartening how ambitious and original films used to be.

The waste of space messed up the shields endangering the crew, well done Sorcerer Supreme 👏
Cappa made the call to alter the trajectory. Literally everything is Cappa’s fault.

It’s kinda wild how Mace is the only rational person in the crew, yet the movie kinda depicts him as an insensitive asshole at first.

I'll need to rewatch.

Doesn't Chris Evans fly through space in bubble wrap to get to the airlock?

O god I love Sunshine. For such a low budget it looks great and I've checked IMDB and Mark Strong was also in it. How did Danny Boyle get all this great cast together?
Dude gets mad respect in the industry. I mean, when you look at his resume, it makes a lot of sense. That was just before Slumdog too, so it might well have been peak Boyle. He was crushing it back then.
