A LESSON IS LEARNED BUT THE DAMAGE IS IRREVERSIBLE

Friends, it is everything that trash like Penny-Arcade should be but isn't.

Best Regards,
Fart

PS, does anyone else really love Scott McCloud's books but think the man himself is a raving lunatic?

I like tonight's comic. It's based on real science. Within every particle is a portion of a reptile particle, called the R Particle. Some scientists at MIT were able to isolate this particle in laboratory conditions. I would link you to the article, but I am lying.
Truly, brilliant.

Best Regards,

I was a huge fan of bob in high school, but the strip has really been in a funk the past few years. Creativity is a bit of a drain, it seems, as the other great webcomics I've followed have all suffered the same fate (if they haven't disappeared completely). Meanwhile, refuse like Megatokyo and Penny-Arcade become profitable... PROFITABLE.

Join me in a denial of this internet, friends.

Best Regards,
Fart

One of my course textbooks for University is a Scott McCloud book. Understanding Comics.

Laughing all the way to the bank, I swear.

Ah, hadn't checked White Ninja comics in a while and haven't seen any posted so some of my favorite recent ones. Always so refreshing in their simplicity.

Understanding Comics is a good book, and does have some good ideas.

If you guys had read Something Awful's article a few days back, you'd know that this discussion is moot. Boston and Shaun is so awesome that not even its webserver can handle it

That's one of the funniest things I've seen on SA in a long time. :D

EDIT: Since the site is "under construction...I thought it was a fake"

IT'S REAL!?!?!??!!?!? Dear god then it's 10 X better.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I like the reptile flame one, because you know the house will devour them both.

Unfortunately that guy apparently has a horrible case of tendonitis, so he can't do any new stuff until he recovers from that.

the drawings are overly complicated. Comics need only have enough detail to get the joke across. They also involve too much reading. The ratio of reading to funny was much much too high.

a single panel of a guy with his arms in the air and a strained face yelling "boobs!" would have been more entertainig than what I see above.

even this often has a little too much reading, but I'm surprised more people don't try to point out machall:

I dunno how to make it show up as an actual image... guess I would need the actual image and not the php page?

Wow. For once in these webcomic threads, everything posted so far has either been pretty funny or pretty interesting, or both.

My eyes! Most of the comics in this thread a way to difficult to look at. Let alone bother trying to deciever.

yeah, white ninja isn't for the weak minded. They're incredibly deep but if you get em they're hilarious

The only comic that was ever consistently funny was Calvin and Hobbes. Everyone else should be cut some slack because, obviously, it's impossible to make a comic hilarious everday unless you're Bill Watterson.

I refuse to believe that Boston and Shaun is real.

As do I. Is there any way we can get confirmation? If it's real I'd like to see more comics. Normally I'd assume that it's a joke, but I've never seen SA lie about a link of the day.

Ok....It's real. .....................

Now if only the official site wasn't down, I'd like to see the entire archive.

White Ninja attempts to be "funny because it's not funny" (ie, lack of any real punchlines) -- I don't think it usually succeeds.

EDIT: And Boston and Shaun is (unintentionally) brilliant.

I didn't like that Lesson is Learned one... it seems to be attempting to make an "intellectual" cartoon without being funny or intellectual... sort of like those folks in college who go around, quoting terms from Philosophy 101 in an attempt to sound highbrow.

But, that's just my opinion. I could be horribly, horribly wrong.
