I still think The Extreme is the best track out of all the final ultimecia battle themes, although most people seem to prefer Maybe I'm a Lion, for some reason.

This gen? For me it would be RE4, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, MGS3, and Ninja Gaiden.

Yes, the Ganondorf battle was great. I just wish it was more of a battle than an interactive cutscene.

Is that the last battle in Xenogears? I found that to be a big pain in the ass actually. Loved Xenogears but I was not a fan of the gameplay, I liked the game because of its epic story and music.

Overall I think Zelda64 and MGS3 had my favorite boss fights. Zelda Wind Waker has some amazing boss fights too. I usually love any big Nintendo boss fights, the gameplay just seems to be designed so perfectly.

Ninja Gaiden 2 gets a honorable mention from me as well.

Luca Blight in Suikoden 2. What other boss survives a whole bunch of (out of battle) archers, 3 battles, and only dies at the end of all that. A fitting end to one of the great RPG villains of all time.
