Best game trade-in store?

My girlfriend wanted me to post asking for suggestions on the best place to trade-in games, since her forum account hasn't been activated yet. We're trying to decide among EB, Gamestop, or Blockbuster's Game Rush store. We got the one game used at the Blockbuster, so we're not sure if we should just re-trade it in, or take it to another store. Where be a place you'd suggest?
 
GameRush by far. They give so much money for games I almost feel guilty. They also had a pre-order promo where they gave you 20 bucks off any new game. Not sure if its still going on tho.

Blockbuster is the best, EB trys to screw you over EVERY chance they can get. Gamestop I haven't had any problems with them, but again Blockbuster is the best for trading in stuff.
 
My girlfriend doesn't trade in her games. She keeps them all, even the old crappy ones, because she's her own person. She's not me, she's my girlfriend. If I had it my way, I'd trade all that old shit in, but once again, I'm not her and she's not me, we are but two turds in a world full of shit.

GameCrazy claims the best prices on trade-ins, but probably only after their $20 membership card which boosts them by 10%
 
Well, the only reason I post for her and speak for her is because her account isn't activated yet and she doesn't wanna use my account. As for the trade-in place, I got a pretty good idea of where to dump the games off at. We can use the credit to get another game that we wanted there....
 
Is there a place where I can find out how much a trade-in for a console would be? I'm thinking about selling back my Xbox, and SP and getting a DS or PSP or something.

Highly doubtful. The two games she wants rid of are Trap Gunner, which she had for a hwile and just doesn't like very much, and the other is Unlimited Saga, which she just didn't like. So we figure we'll just try to get what little bucks we can from them at the store and use it towards the other game.

Otaking: Find a third cheapy game to trade in at Blockbuster/GameRush on their Trade 3, Get a Preowned Game for $5 deal. You get the amount of credit they'd normally trade in for as well, so you might not have to pay anything out of pocket depending on what they fetch.

Games excluded are pre-2004 sports games and wrestling games.

I've gotten Jade Empire LE, Doom III LE, and Resident Evil 4 in exchange for some real cheapos.
 
Holy crap, this Gamerush trade in 3 and get a pre-owned for 5 dollars deal is pretty crazy. Is there a catch? Aside from sports titles, can I trade in 3 launch titles and get like Jade Empire or something?
 
Yep, you could trade Portal Runner, Fantavision, and Evergrace for a preowned Jade Empire if they had it in stock :P I've heard that preowned games over 44.99 may not work, but nothing I've seen is ever priced over that (I work at Blockbuster).

Well, I'll need 2 more games actually, since Trap Gunner is a PSX game. Oh well, I wish there was a place to buy cheap PS2/GCN/XBox games for use with this deal. Cheap RE4 is better than no RE4.

On average, what do PSX games fetch for trade-in value?

I assume you are talking about me getting all the gun games, right? I own 3 NES ones. Gumshoe, To The Earth and all the variants of Duck Hunt. NES is low priority.

God damn Chiller. GOD DAMN. It's bad.
 
Rhino Videogames. But that's southeast regional. If you trade in a relatively new game, you get at least $30. They also usually have a deal where you trade in two games worth at least $20 each and get a new game free (thereby saving you $10). If I can trade in there, I almost always do.

Enter the codes CAG15 to get 15% off the preowned game, then enter SAVER to get free shipping (you'll have to select the free option when choosing the shipping method). Presto! 6.38 + tax for two eligible cheapies.

I also know that NHL 2004 PS2 and WDL: WarJetz PS2 are 2.99 preowned whenever they're in stock on the site (should be the price in store as well). I was pretty shocked when Blockbuster gave me $8 trade-in credit for NHL 2004!

Don't get your hopes up finding x new release game of your choice preowned at a Blockbuster store (not sure what GameRush's are like since there are none around here). I was fortunate that the games I mentioned had (a) recently been traded in by a customer and (b) were games I actually wanted. Your Blockbuster may very well have shit to select from now that the deal's been going on a couple of weeks and people have being taking advantage of it. Especially if a fucker like me works there and is all over the good stuff when it comes in ;).

Blockbuster issues store credit. They'll either put it on your account or on a gift card, your choice. Though with the Trade 3, Get 1 PO for $5, you'd have to trade them in at the store you want to receive the $5 game (naturally).

For about $2.65 + store credit when I traded in 33 games (I also got Mario vs. Donkey Kong with the remaining store credit).

Then I sold them to Gamestop, which had a deal for 40% extra on trade ins for 4 games or more at the time. Now I have $337 in store credit over there.

I wonder what their top trade in values are that I should try and get with the gamerush $5 deal
 
Gamerush by a farkin' mile. It's the only reason to go there, but it's a damn good one.
