SH2 isn’t even winning….

It was when I replied, but my point still stands. I member when gaf loved DAI and Bioshock Infinite and if you ask them now, they'll say both are turds. They'll prolly say the same in a few years about RE2 and RE4, hell we even had a similar thread recently and some ppl said RE2R sucked.

By one fucking vote now. Lmao.

SH2 is it for me.

The use of audio is the best part of the game. Prior to the remake the original dead space was the king of audio in a game. Hands down.

SH2R makes the nips stiff.

I'm torn between SH 2 and RE4. Silent Hill 2 I feel is the better one in terms of quality and how faithful it is to the original. It actually felt like a modernized PS2 game. But RE4 is more fun to play mechanically, is much more campy and lighthearted and has much better replay value. I've played RE4 a ton from its original release in 2005 and now with the remake. Silent Hill is cool for just a couple of playthroughs and then I'm good. The game is just too bleak and oppressive. So I'll go with RE4 based on fun factor.

Out of those you listed, I voted RE4.

Played it right after a replay of the original and I had a lot of fun, they did a good job changing things up a bit to keep things fresh, plus the game's not just a looker but also plays very nicely.

They made a few mistakes tho, like the atmosphere being botched at some points and the silly yellow paint, but still, nice remake.

Even RE3 would get more votes than turd shock.

I'm playing Dead Space remake right now and it's really well done but yea I don't think the pacing is as good as the original. I do wish they were able to make a Dead Space 2.

Hard call between RE2, RE4, Dead Space. I thought all were amazing remakes and amazing games in general. Given it asks what remake is the best, I might go RE2, given the jump from PS1 to PS4 is greater than the jump RE4 made and RE4 has had some HD remasters and stuff already. But all are amazing and look so good on modern consoles.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

Silent Hill 2? Lmfao. Oh my god. Give it until the recency bias period is over. Resident Evil on Gamecube. Dead Space Remake is the biggest waste of time, money and resources I've ever played. The original is still playable today, I'm very glad I got it on PS+. An actual unnecessary remake.

Can't decide. Every single one of them were phenomenal.

I GUESS ... I would pick RE2make because that was the first one of those and made the biggest impact with the generational leap and all.

I went for SH2 because I think the original is mediocre and overrated, the remake makes it good for me. It was between that and RE4, but the original RE4 was already good.

Resi 2 and it's not even a contest. They built a PS1 game from scratch and the final result was extremely good.

Dead Space would be in second place, it's a much better remake than I though it would be.

It's a tie between RE1 and RE2 for me. These games pretty much set the bar on what makes a truly great Remake period.

I voted RE4, but RE2 isn't far behind, as the original RE2 was my first RE and I have a serious soft spot for that game.

RE4make just feels flawless in every way.

I don’t even like horror games but silent hill 2 was really intriguing and I enjoyed watching streamers play it.

Resident Evil 4 Remake or Resident Evil 1 Remake. One of those three.

Resident Evil 3 Remake could have been the best even if it was different had they expanded on more city sections and more humanoid Nemesis encounters.

Hard to choose. I would say SH2 Remake, RE1 Remake, and RE4 Remake are at the top of their class.

I love RE2 Remake, but over time it has really bugged me that they did away with Scenario A/B. If they didn't cut corners with that, it would've been one of the all time greats.

???

RE2 remake has scenario A&B for both Leon and Claire. Upon completing the game once you unlock the B sides for both.

You should play the remake. It’s very good.

Silent hill 2 has recency bias so you can knock 25% off that vote I reckon.

RE2R because it essentially brought back the genre back from the dead (before that walking simulators had taken over) and spawned all these remakes.

Scenario B in RE2R is wack compared to the original.

Arsic Arsic can you tell why you didn't liked shock remake?

Did you at least like the immersive sims genre? Do you like dishonored saga?

I played the RE2 Remake many times, it doesn’t have Scenario A/B. What it has is an extremely watered down version.

Ah ok. Im waiting for the OG to be on PC/PS5 like the directors cut they put out recently. I don’t want to mess with roms.

When it is I’ll play the OG for sure.
