IIRC, the new Truth in Credit Reporting Bill that Bush signed should allow for you to get it for free once per year. Lemme go check my sources, but I'm pretty sure you can get one for free without having to 'get rejected for credit'. If you have been rejected for credit somewhere, all of the credit reporting agencies are required by law to give you a freebie.
