Whats wrong with Memorex? mine all work great =/ ....the best ever ? probably not...but they work fine for me

i hear a lot about Taiyo Yuden as being the best ....might wanna check those out, they got them at Memory Express if you got one of those near you.

Just look for "made in Japan" in the label. That should mean it's a Taiyo Yuden manufactured disc. I think Fuji Film DVD+Rs are usually Taiyos.

This can give you an idea of what brands are reputable. Generally, I don't pay more than 30 cents per disc.

Don't get Ridatas/Riteks, those have generally gone downhill quality-wise and I think Pioneer does not recommend Ritek media for the Pioneer burners any more.

Taiyo Yuden's are the best. Some burners will burn 8x TY media at 16x with excellent quality. Made in Japan Fujifilm is guaranteed to be TY's unless something has changed. But also be aware ot fake TY's being sold around...quality ranges from ok to horrible.

I once bought a verbatim 10-pack and none of them worked properly. Some of the chapters of a DVDfilm would be skipped, I tried to back-up my MP3's on them but it was unreadable, etc.

I used Ricoh for a long time and they worked ok, but didn't always read very well. Now I use Maxell and I'm very pleased with those.

Ive had best luck with Fuji, Sony, and Verbatim, not a bad burn yet.

Stay away from TEON, got a 25 pack for really cheap at Staples and figured it give it a try, nearly half wouldnt play and the ones that would skipped.
