Lemme know if I missed anyone important so that I can add them to the list. And feel free to ask if you don't know who someone is; someone else out there will know the answer. So... Of these three superhero icons, who's got the best rogues gallery around? The most powerful? Most dangerous? Most effective? Most interesting? Most... ridiculous?

EDIT: Y'know, looking at that list a second time, it seems like Superman's coming up short on genuine rogues. You'd think that, for a hero that's been around as long as he has, he'd have more deadly enemies than that. I've gotta be missing someone who belongs on there... right?

Definitely Batman.

And who is The Burglar? Were they just out of ideas the day they came up with him ? :lol

I know she isn't a major baddie, but I really like LiveWire as a Superman rouge. She is just cool.. but anyhow...

I personally prefer Batman's group of rouges. I mean that is an interesting bunch and very few dudes in my opinion...Spiderman has some like Sandman and Hydro-Man and some others, but can't really think of any duds in Batman group.

It is also partial because I use the Animated Series as a benchmark and not other stuff.. like Mr. Freeze was a joke before that show.

The Burglar? Do you mean...The Looter?! :)

It's hard for me to decide between Spider-Man and Batman, but Superman's rogues gallery is a joke.

The problem is, Supes is a bonafide demigod like person. You can't have TOO many people able to go toe to toe with him, otherwise he isn't as powerful:p

Batman's got the coolest and most intersting gallery though, interesting that most of his villains have no problems with working together and tend to team up a lot more than Supes or Spideys. Plus come on, The Joker, Ra's Al Ghul, Two Face. TOO COOL.

The unnamed criminal who with a single shot ended the life of Uncle Ben, and taught the young Peter Parker a costly lesson on power and responsibility.

Hey, I included Joe Chill, so I had to put "The Burglar" in there too.

Remember the days when Mr. Freeze wasn't a tragic character trying to cure his wife and was just some guy who had to walk around in a clunky suit to steal stuff?

I sure wish I didn't.

Anyway, with Spider-Man's gallery there are some good villains, but I also feel like there are some really lame characters that just seem like cannon fodder - the Rhino, for example.

I have to go with Batman. No villian is better than the Joker. And then you Penguin, Two-Face, Riddler, Catwoman and R'as Al Ghul.

As much as I'm a total and complete Spider-Man whore, Batman has hands down the greatest rogue gallery in comics. I mean, this shouldn't even be up for discussion.

I'd add Kingpin to the Spider-man list, even though Daredevil kind of stole him, considering he was a Spidey villian first.

Molten Man might fit on that list too.

As far as Rogues galleries, the Fantastic Four has Doom, and Galactus, two of my favorite villians ever.

Joker + R'as al Ghul = win

Spidey comes in at a close second. Sinister six + Kingpin + the Goblins @_@

Never noticed how similar the two are, btw.

Batman. Supes just isn't very interesting to me (besides Luthor and Bizarro), and Spidey had that horrible period where villains were just animals that the writers saw at the zoo the day before (like The Gibbon or The Swarm).

As much as I love Spidey, I'm gonna have to say Bats'. Sure it was kinda cliche in that they had their own schtich, but they had a lot of character. i know Stan Lee would give great origins to his baddies. Mac Gargan, Rhino, but i don't know, no set of villains came close to ending a superhero's life more times than Bruce's.

Batman easily.

Spider-Man is my fave all-time superhero but I much prefer his scrapes with the likes of other heroes like Wolverine, Punisher and the Hulk. Although, Venom is singularly my favorite bad guy ever.

Batman wins this in a walk. Spidey has some pretty cool villans though...the Green Goblins are a lot cooler then they have a right to be. Oh yeah, add Kyodi and Phantasm to the Batman list.

Okay, everyone seems to be in unanimous agreement; Batman's rogues gallery is the fan-favorite. But what about the other questions I asked?

The most powerful? Most dangerous? Most effective? Most interesting? Most... ridiculous?

Superman has the most powerful, by far. Mr Myxyzptlk is omnipotent, basically, and there are several heavyweights on there. Darkseid and Brainiac 13 are pretty serious.

Batman's are more interesting characters, but I like how colorful Spideys foes are.

Superman also has the most ridiculous. Toyman? Prankster? Mr Myxyzptlk?

spider-man gets my vote.

/fanboy mode on

there's no way in hell the batman villains could *touch* the spidey villains in a gang brawl.

/fanboy mode off :D

Supes has the most poweful, and it only makes sense. People like Luthor, Maxima, Doomsday, cyborg supes etc. Galatic powerhouses.

Most effective? That's hard to say, but I'd say Batman once again. They're all pretty smart and well equipped.

Interesting? Batman once again. His villains have mor e to them than "Gotta stop Bats!"

Ridiculous? Spider-man, but many of Batman's villains were pretty goofy until they were fleshed out.
