I've only just heard some of their music (Greatest Hits), and I like most of what I hear. Angie is my favourite song at the moment; I don't like most emotional/sad/soppy songs, but this one gets added to my short list (Something, Don't Worry Baby). Under My Thumb is nothing special musically, but the lyrics are great - every guy should hear it. He has a pretty unique voice alright. Mother's Little Helper and Paint It Black are cool too. Any other recommendations? And remember, Jesus looks down on one-line responses in music recommendation threads.

Kitchen sink production, an inspired vocal performance, spiffy song writing, and hook-highlighting horns mix it up in a bar-style brawl over which element gets to steal the song. Reminiscent of Raw Power-era Stooges, the band sounds as though it's mere moments away from imploding; that the whole construction would collapse if someone were to drop a single feather on top of it. Edgy, gritty rock n' roll.

Lyrically I think Sympathy for the Devil is the best I've heard from them. Other top Stones songs for me include Angie, She's So Cold, Gimme Shelter, Emotional Rescue, Tumbling Dice, Wild Horses, Brown Sugar, and You Can't Always Get What You Want. But if I had to pick one, it'd be Sympathy for the Devil...just think it's a really clever song.
So is everyone sick of "Satisfaction?" It was number one on VH1s best songs ever show. Or to feel special you choose something less mainstream than "Satisfaction?" Or maybe because we just know more Rolling Stone songs than that?...
Anyway, reading through this thread realized I didn't back up all my Rolling Stone songs on my second hard drive when my main one got stuck. So instead of going through a stack of storage boxes to take out my Rolling Stone CDs to rip them again, i just DLed them from a file sharing program. The RIAA is going to sue my ass for being lazy. =(
