So we're half a year into 2025. It doesn't matter the year it came out…What song has hit you the most? What song has been on repeat? What song has you retreating to? What song has you constantly singing it?

Post yours. Post some info about the band. Post the lyrics or whatever else, why it means what it means to you etc.

I'm an approaching mid 40s post hardcore junkie and I haven't been able to get enough of these guys this year.

Wolf & Bear is an American post-hardcoreband from Sacramento, California. Formed in 2013, the band consists of vocalists Marcus Cisneros and Tyler Watt, guitarists Cameron Nunez and Louie Baltazar, and drummer Jacob Koval. The band originated in the Central Valley hardcore punk music scene aiming to "expand on the progressive rock genre."

I fucking love their melodic singer and the guitarist is fuckin great

You know there's nowhere else left to go
Our eyes don't meet like they used to
Whenever things start to be
In the back of my mind
Did I give enough time?
'Cause I don't know why
I don't know why I try

Simple and effective ^ it just works

Or what bands have been good from 2022 to the present.

We listen to more of older bands, but which ones are current?
I'm a big fan of Turnstile, if you like hardcore with a lot of genre-bending. These two songs are an awesome combo and give kind of a wide spectrum of what they sound like.

This album just dropped about a month ago and I can't get enough of it.

Personally he hasn't dropped a shitty album yet and he's been doing it for almost 30 years. I consider him to be the greatest lyricist ever, he's considered a rappers rapper. Also it's nice to bump into him every once in a while walking around town. I enjoy his music as even to this day I'll listen to a track from 20 years ago and I still get to decipher some of the meanings behind the lyrics.

"No Pole" - Don Toliver

Simp-ish lyrics, yes, but I absolutely adore the sound production for this song.
Getting drunk and high while vibing to this piece of music has been a very relaxing experience for me this year. Especially during times of stress.

From what I understand, the sound was inspired by Travis Scott and I can believe it.
I love it.
