Well i had my share of fun time with porn. I am pretty sure i seen about 30% of every porn video out there, and i also knew and know a couple porn stars now, women yall. I also slept with this one woman in porn, but i wont mention her name. So i been there, and after a while, porn becomes bored, and some of the things in porn has gone too far, even from the start it was already bad. I also have to question some of the acts in porn, again the bs is getting way out of hand.

I am a believer of the bible, so everytime i see porn i just think about Sodom and Gomorrah, and then i might laugh, and then cry. Such beautiful women abusing thier looks , i just wish the bs would go away and it will , but i guess now is not the time to discuss those issues.

I already said it, i got porn women in my scope, so if you ever see me with them, dont get it confused, I'm all about change - Mystery Ridah

On a side note, i guess we all gotta change, change for the better. Unless you one of those people, who just dont care about the well fare of the women and young women in this world.
Oh my god :lol :lol :lol :lol

Change the file names to numbers or periods.

B.I.G.B.R.E.A.S.T.S.

not searchable, put them all in a folder and pw protect it. Even if she knows that file has a lot of HD space being used in it, she cant ever figure out the names in it.

set up an admin password in xp, put everything in the mydocuments folder then click properties > to to sharing and make the folder private.
set up another account for your sister or enable guest account.

:)

My method for hiding files basically involves zipping up the files I want to hide (I'm speaking in general, as I don't watch porn), then using a program of my own creation to encrypt and then split the single file into hundreds of different pieces and strew them around the hard drive. All the information neccesary for restoration gets stored in a file which is then encrypted and split manually (as in I'll literally open it in NotePad or Hex Workshop and split it from there). Those files are then put in an arbitrary folder and set as hidden files. The program itself won't restore anything without the restoration file, as is password protected. I'll put it on a CD for extra security.

hide your porn in

C:/windows/system/system 128/

no one bothers looking at system files unless they're tryin to do something other than masterbate.

works for me.. and it can u! :lol

what if shes a computer ninja? what if she does a search for all files over half a gb. zip file found!
That's why you change the .zip extension. She finds the half Gb .xls file, but when she opens it, Excel just spits out garbage. Since she's on a borrowed computer, she should know well enough to not delete it. If she's ninja enough to open it in a text editor and recognize the magic bits as a .zip file, well then you're screwed, but really, at that point, she's earned the right to know you're a perv.

If I really wanted to hide something, it'd be in a split, encrypted archive with the extension and magic bits changed on an encrypted, unmounted Linux partition surrounded by a significant amount of dummy data. Crap, now I need to find something better than that. :)

Put it all on an external harddrive and mail it to me. I'll take care of it for you until your sister leaves :)

You are the guy Neal Stephenson based off Cryptonomicon, right? Or a super computer ninja, or something like that...

I never hide my porn. Then again, I'm not a sicko. All my stuff is pretty tasteful. Penis breasted dachshund furries?!?!?!?!

Yep. I do the exact same thing and also mark the folders hidden, so nobody can search.

Looking at the replies to the U.2.K. Tha Greate$t post, it's amazing how disrespectful some people can be.

this is the same person who's going to "change the world in 2007" and then "bring back dreamcast in 2009 with 500 games"

why should anything he say be taken the least bit seriously?

My sister is moving in with me for (hopefully) a brief period while she searches for an apartment. She'll probably have unfettered access to the computer, and for the sake of keeping things from getting creepy I need to quarantine all the adult content.....or at least the really disturbing stuff (WhiteMan keeps sending me pictures of penis-breasted dachshund furries). Is there a quick and painless way to do this without having to create new user accounts and set all kinds of permissions and force a login at every bootup?

Hiding folders is a decent fix, but stuff will still turn up if you search for it. I could dump everything into a passworded RAR/ZIP but that'd be kind of annoying.

I'm sure plenty of you are living with parents or spouses and have developed a good solution -- suggestions?
Put your porn in a folder marked PRIVATE (yes in caps) on your desktop. She'll never look in it.

Download the most perverted, sick and twisted kind of porn you can imagine.

Make it easy for her to access and ultimately play. After she sees that, she'll never want to open up another video file on your computer ever again. :)

Microsoft to the rescue, they have released a little program called Private Folders. When installed it places a folder on your desktop that you can place all the files you want and setup a password.
Security is supposedly pretty good, system/network admins are complaining already.

A neat program, too bad Microsoft half-assed it as normal and only allows you to make one folder with it.

Shit man this was funny as hell. But, why not go with an external drive, portable porn FTW.

By a usb/firewire HDD enlcosure and store all of you porn on that. You can go a step further and rename all of the files to an unreadable extension like .bin or .txt. Some programs like ACDsee will still view them as images even tho you have renamed the extension. Also programs like ACDsee can view images in protected rar/zip files, but I think you have to enter the PW everytime you want to view. Im not sure about that last tho.

in the deepest creveces of the most unused programs pointless folders.

This wont work becuse any user can search for recently viewed or modified files and find your stash easily. This is how I found out my friend was gay . =(

I thought the exact same thing, haha. I love that book.

I would say you should have user accounts going anyhow. You should always have user separate user accounts, if for no other reason that to help protect your own account from even simple mucking up when other people use your computer. I have a guest account all set up and ready to go on my computer, that way friends, family, or whatever can use my iMac and I don't have to worry about anything being screwed with for my account, conflictions of interest (we want to use the same mail app, instant messenger app, etc.), and of course there's no porn troubles.

If you are having multiple people use the same account and you're on a Mac, one good solution is to use Disk Utility to create a password-protected disk image. That way everything is contained in one simple password-protected file, there's no compressing and uncompressing, you can't search the disk image unless it's actually mounted, and so on. Very handy for a lot of privacy uses, not just porn.

i just have 100 sub folders, where all my porn is. after the 50th or so click, people will just say "**** it"

I even took out the time to create fake-out sub-folders. =p

But I have this program that locks the folders and disables them to be viewable even in searches. But if the file is still viewable in the player (under the file drop down menu in the player....if I enable it, like in Windows Media Player), it's still viewable.

I have to do something about that. But hell, it's MY computer so I can simply lock it when I'm not using it. =p

lol thats a great ideal. It could be like a dungeon crawler; inlcuded fake folders would have misleading clues.:lol

i keep mine inside in a subfolder on the desktop, so it wont be found as easily by other users through XP's explorer. Also i rename the file extensions to different, uncommon ones and this works as MPC and VLC player still manage to play the file

i used to hide mine in a folder then turn the folder invisible, search doesnt find it. The only way she could find it is she went through your file options and clicked "show invisible" and even then shed have to find the right location of the folder (assuming u dont just hide it on your desktop)
