I gave my friend Barry (the one with a wife, a newborn, and not a lot of money) an XBOX for Christmas with the Tom Clancy Classic Trilogy because he loved the Rainbow Six titles on the Playstation.

Well his birthday is coming up and I just found out he was obsessed with a baseball game on the Playstation where you could create your own players.

1) What is the best baseball game on the XBOX?
2) Does it have the 'create a player' feature?

MVP Baseball is the best, but there is an awful bug with left handed hitters.

In my estimation, Sega's World Series Baseball 2K3 is the best baseball game available on the XBox. You can create players, the stat tracking is rather extensive, and the gameplay is very good. It's also not a bad-looking baseball game at all-- and you should be able to fill in missing pieces to your rosters.

The new fleet (meaning two) baseball games are not that far away, so getting a game on the cheap now to satiate the hardball starvation until MVP Baseball 2005 and ESPN Major League Baseball 2K5 arrive should be pretty easy.

MVP Baseball 2004 does have a Create-A-Player option and is also quite good, although the left-handed hitter bug is annoying at times.

I'm really weird, i really like All star Baseball 2005.

I know, it isnt the greatest game or have the best graphics. to me it seemed like the best batter and pitcher interfaces out there along with a solid season/dynasty mode.

Too bad acclaim shut down though.

The engine in WSB2k3 was almost as good and High Heat looked even worse. I do say almost though, there were some great features to HH along with some bugs as well. That said, it certainly deserves to be used.
