I honestly think that there is actually no king of pop right now. You can rank and make lists, but that doesn't mean that the number one place will actually be the king. Bruno is cool I guess? But there is nothing legendary about him (as of today), just a decent collection of music, and that's it. For being the king, he needs more than that.

Male pop is currently a republic.

I did forget about Bruno Mars entirely for some reason. However the last thing he had was Uptown Funk way long ago. I would put him up there with Bieber.

pretty much every artpop review said that the album never reaches the heights established at the beginning with aura and venus so w/e

considering your thots on overwatch balancing godels idk why i expected a good taste in musique.

There certainly is a correlation between Gaga stans and questionable music taste in general. Whether there is causation remains to be seen.

I'm not a huge Gaga stan. I loved her first two albums. Not a fan of Born this Way or ArtPop. That being said I think Venus is one of the better songs off that album. I also think that ArtPop could have been better if she had cut some of the fat off of it and made a more consistent sound.

If I were a Gaga stan I would talk about the glory days of The Fame and The Fame Monster and I would try as hard as available to forget ARTPOP ever existed.

A truly I don't know her tea.

I don't know why this album keeps being mentioned daily in this thread. It should have faded just like Lotus did. We know it was trash, it didn't meet any expectations and we just let it go and forgot about it.

The song was originally about her love for her fans but then her label was going to capitalise on it so Gaga changed it to her struggle with drugs...

I preferred the original concept

But once I was drunk and had a breakdown to Dope so I guess she succeeded

I can't believe anyone thought for a second that Perfect Illusions thing on Youtube was real. It sounds like Disturbia.

Dope and Jewels & Drugs are really the only misses for me on ARTPOP.

It's really such a tired, stale conversation. I feel like we've all said what we've had to say about that album and then repeated it two more times.
