If this list was full of movies like They Live and Big Trouble in Little China ... then it would be ok. But when they throw in AWFUL movies like Showgirls and Island of Dr. Moureau ... you realize .. they actually think ALL of these movies suck on some level.


They should have just renamed it, "The top 20 movies that are guilty pleasures".

There is a clear difference between movies like COmmando, BTILC and showgirls/ Dr. Moureau. This is not a well thought out list if you are going for Best bad movies. No Flash Gordon proves it.

I knew there was a reason i loved this forum. Thumbs up to all the Big Trouble in Little China love.

They were obviously aiming for a list of campy, stupid-ish movies that are bad in theory, but are actually great to watch. In that way they sort of suceeded. The title was just poorly phrased.

Right on, someone gets it. BTILC by all means has a cheesy and campy plot, but despite this the movie is incredibly awesome. The list is of movies based on their plot, directing, or acting still manage impress us by being incredible. I'm surprised something from Evil Dead didn't make the top 10.

The OP has no mention of that, nor a link where that's confirmed, so it's easy to get confused. Thanks to the guys who posted later on and clarified what the list really is.

That exactly what i understand what most people seem to understand.
Some of the movies in there aren't "so bad that they are good" but good for real.

Shitty list anyway. They never heard of Ed Wood i guess. And where the **** is Nukie in this list?

Big Trouble In Little China is hilarious if you understand Cantonese. I love how the characters sometimes curse and insult each other in Cantonese under the breath in between their English lines :lol

That's bullshit.... Big Trouble in Little China is one of the best films of the 80's and a legitimate classic...

"Bad"? Ain't nothing bad about a movie with Jack Burton in it.

Also, how come The Last Dragon didn't make the list? Best "final fight" scene in a movie, period.

Won't you all please just shut up and let Maxim have an opinion? It's their list for christ's sake. You can't say "but why didn't you put Retard Dodge Ball 3: It Burns! on the list?!?!?!!!" because it's not your list. Make your own if you want to, or discuss the movies mentioned. I don't see why everything has to be so negative all the time.

If someone says "I think Star Wars is the greatest movie of all time", do you start yelling about how much they suck for not liking RoboCop better?
