I pray to every god that I don't think exists that this ends up being true. Man, if she produces tapes of this, I might actually start believing. Seeing him try to backpeddle and explain his actions would make my year.

well, he does have a thing for vibrators...
A man using a vibrator doesn't necessarily mean that he's using it on his prostate/in his butthole...

Besides, if it's "shaped like a cock" like the docs suggest, there's no safety there, and we'd probably be looking forward to a scandal involving him having the vibrator removed out of his ass after it slid in. Which would, of course, be hilarious.

I'm just sayin'...

I really hope the lady has tapes...she automatically wins then, no?

O'reilley is finished. And hopefully Bush and Fox News will be too.

I can only wonder what all those christian "values" people will think of this? This may take down the whole FoxNews network. :D

Franken should sue O'reilley too for a death threat.

I'm just sayin', if a guy like O'Reilly had a vibrater laying around, and from the look of the documents, i think he would stick it up his bumb one or two times..

:lol :lol goddamn this will be karma at its VERY finest if this is true.

I read the documents where it says he called her up after interviewing two pornstars. I remember that interview. Bill O'Reilly was really fucking weird in it. I was watching it with a friend and she said "why is he licking his lips like that?". It was gross. Maybe it is true and he needed some phone sex after such a hot moment.

If a guy's an asshole, screw his freedom of speech.

What?!? You think freedon of speech extends to repeatedly propositioning and threatening somebody whose employment you may have some influence over?

And on another completely wacky note, for the conspiracy theorists out there-- maybe she never really left CNN at all... and went to work for Fox as a mole, knowing she could tape this stuff and nail him? Eh? Eh? Ok, probably not, but watch the O'Reilly fans leap on it like a grenade.

Oh my God.

If this is true....

Well I'm sure we'll hear a fair and balanced report on this. I'm positive...

Wow.

Just look at this thread, and tell me Quid pro Quo sexual harrassment isn't a crock. You have tons of people here hoping, and even praying that this girl was "mentally anquished" by Bill. No one seems to feel compassion for her, and rightfully so. Woah, this girl was made uncomfortable. She deserves tons of money. Excuse me if I don't really care. Girls make me uncomfortable all the time. You don't see me complaining. There should be other ways to rectify a situation than making laws which prohibit freedom of speech.

For instance, I think his employer has every right to fire him. Why didn't this girl complain earlier? Why did she wait until she was fired? Apparently she wasn't "anguished" enough to collect paychecks. People need to be desensitized to this type of crap.

Its like when a child gets picked on. Teach him some self respect and confidence. Its ridiculous, and downright demeaning how we treat women like children.

If these type of frivolous laws continue to pass, it'll soon be illegal for a boss to reprimand an employee.

BobbyRobby, I'll have to get back to you after I've read the whole thing. Assuming it's true, I don't think the allegations are something to dismiss the way you are. I wasn't aware she;d been fired, or what the circumstances were (perhaps for complaining about O'Reilly?).

I still don't see where there's a freedom of speech issue. Again, if true, a lot of this speech goes well beyond what's protected by law-- which would be political speech, by the way.

...and regardless of whether or not you think the damages asked for are reasonable, look at what O'Reilly is purported to be saying. I don't even care if she wins the suit, if this is true, I just want to see O'Reilly go down in flames for the mafioso attitude.

Man, he was born to play joker with that smile... Anyway, this is too fucking funny. He so sick, it's repulsive. How can he ever debate again? The moment he starts attacking someone he better be ready for quite a response.

Wait, what is this website? "Smoking Gun"?

How does this even approach credible?

Not that I don't believe O'Rielly is capable of this shit, but...
You don't know The Smoking Gun? They're remarkably credible. Almost everything they post are public/legal documents.

I'm pretty sure the reports I've seen say that she still works for Fox News. She hasn't been fired.

I said that based on hearsay. Sorry.

I still think she has no right to sue, even if Bill did break some law, since its probably an unconstitutional one anyway. What happens in the workplace should be settled by the management, not by the government.

Hadn't heard of 'em before... I (wrongly) mistook them to be National-Enquiresque. Mostly because of their name / layout. And because this story is just so... out there.

Edit...

Just curious, do you think that Free Speech means you can threaten anyone with anything, because, hey... you're only making them "feel uncomfortable"? Also, what makes management qualified to objectively judge these things?

Obviously Fox New's management is fair and balanced

Sorry, but you're a [EDIT] idiot who, I'm guessing, doesn't know anyone who's been sexually harassed. If you think it's so inconsequential then I suggest you educate yourself on sexual harassment and the psychological effects it produces.

I agree with you but I don't even think you'd have to go as far as the psychological effects of sexual harrassment. The fact that he thinks it's something the management can handle is just crazy. Yes, let's see how O'Reilly's bosses on a show about O'Reilly handle an accussation that could bring him day-own! Gawd, have you ever worked in a below-management position before, BobbyRobby? I've gotten screwed by management in two separate jobs, and I've only had three in all. I don't know if it's that different for small-time retail jobs than it is on TV news shows, but that's just the most ridiculous thing to me.

Glad to hear that if a co-worker murders me on the job than the management will take good care of it without involving the authorities.

If there are indeed tapes of these conversations, and they haven't been faked, then this is pretty damning, and pretty freaking funny all at the same time. Of course, there are those conditions that it be true obviously.

I think it's best left to "a jury of your peers" rather than management. You can't trust managers to be unbiased at all. They have their personal investments in the company to look after, which means supressing all sexual harassment talk from getting out. They're just as likely to try and hide the situation as act on it. Lawsuits have gotten out of control, especially with the damages being handed out, but that's a problem with the judicial system. A case like this should definitely be handled by the courts. Of course, a thorough analysis during the pretrial should be done to assess the merits of the case. Some cases go to court on very poor evidence. PEACE.

Man when this kind of stuff happens the women should take pictures/videos.

There's nothing to take a picture about on this case but you get my point. Humiliate the idiot who does this things.

ALLEGEDLY said. I dislike the guy but until I hear the tapes, I don't totally (it is waaay too detailed to be completely made up IMO) buy it.

Although a part of me REALLY hopes it's all true. (I'm a terrible person :lol)

I just read the entire document at The Smoking Gun--that was quality entertainment.

I hope this turns into an absolute Kobe-Bryant-level media circus.

I don't doubt that he did any of this. I've heard stories before of him having porn stars on and ripping them over the air and then afterwords asking for some videos. Plus, some of these TV guys think the world owes them something.

But, here's my question. Just how bad were things at the CNN job for this girl to leave and go back to a situation that "repulsed and frightened" her? Me thinks there's parts of this story that are being left out at the moment.

So who cares? I personally think sexual harassment is a freaking crock. What difference is there from any other harassment? So if my boss calls me a Blanking blank up then I can sue him for self esteem harassment by calling me names? That would be ridiculous. Simply put there should be no sexual harassment as it is no different from any other harassment. Is harassment bad? Sure to a point. This example is obviously with O'Reilly is obviously over the top, but whether it was sexual or him just constantly berating her for not getting him his goddamn cup of coffee and danish is irrelevant. That is why the whole idea of sexual harassment is bunk.
