Myself and a few friends are looking for some more Binary Domain multiplayer buds. If anyone owns the PS3 version and wants to play some multiplayer matches please add us on PSN. The network is pretty much a wasteland. We are all players from the states. More than half of the community is foreign, mainly Japanese players. We are looking for some regulars who actually enjoy the network modes.

It's such a shame that more people aren't interested in this game. The single player alone is fantastic and now after playing the network modes for about 20 hours I realize it really is a well made, competent component to the game. I was a huge Gears of War 1 fan back in the day and put 100s of hours into that game. This is probably the first game in awhile where I get similar urges to hop on and play for hours.
What's really addicting about the multiplayer, for me anyway, is the Online Challenges. Normally you gain experience from making kills, but you can get bonus exp from completing these challenges. There are 100+ challenges to complete and all of them are tied to the weapons, items, and match types in the multiplayer modes. If you like multiplayer with perks and level ups then you will instantly get hooked on this shit. Also, the little achievement-like blip/noise the challenges makes when you complete makes it even more satisfying and rewarding.
There are 7 modes including team death match, free for all, and team survival. Most players seem to buzz around these modes, but there are a bunch of other objective based modes where you plant/diffuse bombs, etc. I'm sure these modes would be a lot of fun, but there are so little people playing this right now that the modes remain vacant.
There are multiple classes/load outs to choose from as well. Each class starts with certain weapon types and particular nanomachine setups. The nanomachines are similar to the ones you find in single player and you unlock more as you level up. You don't level up individual classes so you can pick/play any of them at any time with whatever nanomachine load out you prefer.
Another cool thing about the multiplayer is that you earn points during each round which can then be used to purchase temporary special weapons or grenades. These items are more powerful than your standard class load outs, but if you don't make use of them during that next round they are gone.
