Spoilers?

"Just 2 more weeks"

Damn, you're right. I still can't believe it's coming out on January 11th. And I assume CVXFREAK will be the conductor on this hype train. ALL ABOARD!!!

I better not touch a Resident Evil game until then, otherwise I won't want to buy RE4. Something about the series just tires me out if I play too many of them in a period of time. Like beating Code Veronica would keep me away from the series until May. :lol

Resident Evil 4 just looks too hot to handle. I'm even thinking about investing in whatever special edition I can find. I honestly don't see how this game could be anything other than amazing.

Never judge books by their cover.

You have to judge a book by it's cover, otherwise you won't know if it's good or not. Same goes for games and their covers...and people, always judge people.

That ain't barry. Too young. :P

As for frippery lad of questionable orientation, he looks creepily similar to Alfred (the crossdressing) Ashford. Possibly clone of him/Alexia?

Holly Fawk ....totally awesome.

just think... Resident Evil 5 on Revolution and PS3 is gonna look sooooooooooooooo much better than this, can you believe it ? ^__^

Nice! :D
Is this the new RE4 footage on the latest Famitsu Wave DVD?

Also according to Play magazine, the knife fight depicted in the caps is mostly a cutscene but you can control Leon at certain points to make him dodge an attack and then counter attack it. Kinda like Shenmue's QTE moments.

Whoa, that'll be muncho cool. I was just expecting the entire thing to just be a cutscene and be cool. :)

:lol :lol

Regarding pics: Looks great!! Spoilers about the big army dude:
GameFront are guessing that he's Nicholai from RE 3

Semi-Interesting thing regarding the 'Elite's (I don't know what else to call him..) knife..
*Very Minor Spoilers*
It looks like you can actually obtain the knife he uses either after the fight or later on in the game to use for your own. Here's a screenshot of some key items and weapons in RE4 that was hacked out of the US demo:

6th row down, 3rd icon across and there's the knife

This is what Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, Event team head, had to say about the knife fight in Play:
"My favorite scene would have to be the knife fight. I think it really recreates the tension of a close-quarters knife fight. But at the same time, you can't just put down the controller and watch it to the end. When the enemy charges at Leon, you have to become Leon and dodge the attack. When Leon is putting up a fight, you have to put up a fight too. I don't want to spoil the fun, so I won't get into the details on how this actually works, but I can say that by the time the scene is over, your palms will be plenty sweaty-it's that tense.
Cutscenes should be more than just downtime to watch the story progress. I think they can also be interactive and enjoyed as another part of the game. And I think this fight scene is a perfect example of this."

He also goes on to say there are over 100 cutscenes, give or take, in the game.

Yea, we're looking at YOU Xenosaga!

I'm fairly sure that the trailer isn't online yet...God I hope it comes soon. I can't believe this game is less than two weeks away.

I've also seens a pic of a new area...It's from the latest Nintendo Power, and it has a status of a dragon, breathing fire. Hotness.

Looks awesome. And that definitely seems to be
Nicolai
as mentioned earlier, who would likely have similar stance/training to Bayman combined with somewhat more age/experience of DOA Leon.

In other words, this must be one hell of a fight for RE4 Leon.

Nicholai is a character in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, who I believe works for Umbrella. He is sent in with a team, but aside from him, everyone on his team dies...I believe in some endings, Nicholai dies as well if I remember correctly. Or appears to die.

Well to elaborate more on what ToyMachine said..
Nicholai was one of the supervisors for Umbrella, sent in with the U.B.C.S (Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service) to collect combat data regarding the B.O.Ws and infection rate of the T-Virus in RE3.

Thing is, at the end of the game you're not quite sure if he's alive or dead since there are 2 endings where he's killed and 1 where he survives. He crops up again though during the ending of Resident Evil: Outbreak talking on the phone with an Umbrella Scientist AFTER Raccoon City is destroyed, so it would seem that he does survive and may well be back in RE4.

The only thing that's obvious about the military guy is that he clearly knows Leon. I can confirm that from the Japanese caption at the bottom of the picture. :)

But Leon was only in RE2 (I doubt they'd use ANYTHING from the GBC game), and there was no character like that, so it's probably just a new character connected to Leon's backstory or something like that.
