That's true and Umbrella could of kept tabs on Leon when he went underground with the Anti-Umbrella coalition just like Wesker did. It could explain how the Military guy knows Leon and the possibilty of him being

I've also seen the new 'Dragon' screenshot and it almost looks like a
boss encounter with the Village Chief as a character can be seen standing atop of it that looks alot like him

It's not much....he's basically just saying that it's been a long time. The pic with Ada says "it's a been a while" as well.
 
I thought it was OK to post scans from Japanese publications. I can't really make out that pic. Is it a spoiler? I really haven't been keeping up on RE4.

Anyone in the UK or Europe interested, Videogamedepot have the US/NTSC version (pre-order) on Ebay.co.uk for £29.99. With Priority Air-Mail for £4 (4-6 days). Bargain seeing as it'll probably be anywhere between £65-80 from local importers (I stupidly paid £80 for RE:Remake from Cybernet).

Just ordered me a copy.

That scan is from Nintendo Power, a US magazine, which is against the TOS.
 
The image that was posted is a scan from the latest issue of Nintendo Power. It's a Nintendo Power exclusive image, and they note that in their article.

I can describe it for you. Basically, it's a structure with a large statue of a dragon on the front of it, and the statue is actually breathing fire. There seems to be a man standing on top of this structure, which seems to be located underground.

I can't freaking wait for this game. :)

I just wanted to know the context of the dialogue. If he's saying something like "It's been a long time" then I'd imagine the 2 of them would of had to of met at some point.
 
Ahh, I see. Don't know why I assumed it was a Japanese scan. Probably mention of the Famitsu scans my search keeps finding.
March for me :( (PAL), I'd get a Freeloader but I can't seem to find it anywhere and I don't know much about it.

It's not that difficult. Just a basic disc swap. Boot up freeloader. Wait for the screen asking you to swap discs. Open Gamecube and put the import game inside. I was an early adopter who got a modded Japanese one complete with switch. You can get a freeloader off Ebay for about £8-10. The game (US) for £29.99.
 
Haha, so in Resident Evil: Apocalypse (the film) that's supposed to be Nicholai from the game [RE3].



I hope its someone new because I want this to create characters instead of rehash them.

Yeah, the cinematic look from these scenes gives off a very MGS kinda feel.. Which is in fact a great thing. My interest is way up. And the QTE news is also another great feature. Shenmue and MGS are 2 of my absolute favorite games so taking some of their strengths sounds great imo. I really can't wait to see this game when completed. I imagine it will get some great scores from mags. It just looks too damn sweet
 
Speaking of mags, does anybody have any idea when subscribers will be receiving the last issue of GMR with the RE4 review??
 
Nicholai survives in RE3 because of a file in RESurvivor written by Nicholai on October 5/6/7, which is days after RE3.
 
Capcom usually prefers to keep their characters alive even if they give you scenarios where they die.
Ada for example dies (implied) in RE2, and even Wesker dies in RE1 (both the original and REmake) in some scenarios

Yeah but with Ada
we knew she was alive as she crops up in both Claire & Leon's Scenario B endings in RE2 to throw you the rocket launcher and finish the Tyrant. Plus she got an Epilogue file in RE3 which was released back in 1999. Nicholai's fate was/is a little vague because 2 out of the 3 possible endings in RE3 had him killed and while I forgot about the note in Survivor, he's only showed up in Outbreak's ending but even that title's standing in the main series is fuzzy

It may not be from that issue though but I assume it is since the March issue doesn't hit stands until January 30th. Regardless, I just want some kind of confirmation before I purchase it. :)
 
I always lost interest in every RE game near the very end. I don't want to finish those games to have to understand this one.

That being said I'm done with media for this game. I've played the demo, that was enough. Graphics are impressive, jaggied and some crappy textures but what are you gonna do?

Still looked damn nice and now that I know how it looks and plays I don't need to spoil anymore by looking at new revealing pictures of the game when the release is only a few weeks away.
