BK angus steak burger is pretty good

late to the party and all that. since i dont really eat fast food anymore, i have no reason to go to mcdonald's or BK...but the other day i walked into a bK near work and went for it. damn burger was actually quite good.
 
I think the Angus is okay, but at BK I prefer their Crispy Chicken sandwich or whatever their more expensive chicken sandwich is called.
 
I tried the Angus Burger once, and was repulsed by it. Looked good in the pic (what doesn't? :P), but tasted vaguely like...coffee (it was probably the sauce, obviously). Weirdest thing. Completely turned me off to the thing. Did you notice that at all? Maybe I just had a bad one or something...


Btw, has anyone tried the McDonald's Chicken Selects? WOW! Those things are incredible. In the picture, they looked like BK's chicken tenders, but my friend told me to pick him up some one day when I was going over to his house, and I was like "why is this bag so heavy? When I got there and we opened the bag up, the things were HUGE-- they're each like a whole chicken breast. :D They're probably the best chicken nugget type food at any fast food place. Add some BBQ sauce....mmmm. :P
 
As far as angus burgers are concerned, the Carl's Jr. Six Dolla Burga > * (although I really, really liked the 'interesting. what kind of meat is this?') flavor of the AM/PM angus cheeseburger. I wish it wouldn't have been such a limited time offer!

It's actually closer to 200K... and yeah I'm kinda weird like that, I guess it's leftover from remembering when things weren't so easy... lord knows I buy enough videogames these days... ;) I obviously have issues. ;)

I got a child to put through college in 18 years give or take a year... I'm gonna need that loot. ;)
 
Besides, why eat a BK Angus burger when you could have a true Black Angus steak, undefiled by their fast-food sauces. God, once you have one of those, it's hard to go back to beef.

Medium Black Angus + black pepper, a dash of paprika, and nothing else = bliss.

That reminds me there was a restaurant down in Orlando that we eat at this summer... Black Angus SteakHouse I think it was called... yummmmmmmm.
 
As others have said, the sauce hurts far more than it helps. At any rate, I wish those Sonic TV ads would stop tempting me so... it's a long drive to get there. :(

Nothing better than seeing a Sonic commercial here in sunny southern California! *sigh*
