‘Black Adam’: Pierce Brosnan to Play DC Hero Dr. Fate Opposite Dwayne Johnson (Exclusive)

Pierce Brosnan has nabbed the plum role of classic DC superhero Dr. Fate opposite Dwayne Johnson in 'Black Adam.'

In the first superhero foray of his career, Pierce Brosnan has nabbed the plum role of classic hero Dr. Fate opposite Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam, New Line's action-adventure project featuring the DC Comics antihero.

Brosnan will play Kent Nelson, aka the good Dr. Fate, a son of an archeologist who was taught sorcery skills and given the magical Helmet of Fate. The character, created by Gardner Fox and Howard Sherman, is one of DC’s oldest characters, having first appeared in 1940’s More Fun Comics #5.

The Black Adam movie has Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, Cyclone, and Hawkman in it.

So my guess is the usual comic book trop , where the 2 meet have a huge fight and them team up together to beat up some other badder bad guy.
In comics I always liked Black Adam more than Captain Marvel , he was more of a bad ass
