Black Widow - Final Trailer

I’m probably being nitpicky but Florence Pugh’s seems off, to the point of being distracting, in this trailer

Regardless, the movie looks like a lot of fun. I’m sure I’ll be very entertained.

Very curious to see how it does financially

I'm probably in the minority but I like her face in the trailer. Reminds me a little of Chloë Grace Moretz (mostly the nose). Just all grown up.

Just a thought...

How is Marvel going to accurately diagnose why this movie failed with the coronavirus panic going wild? I mean Black Widow could be great and still fail.

Honestly, this could be the worst year, or years, for movies in the history of film. Will they start releasing online day and date with the theaters? I have to assume a lot of them will end up closed.

Rachel Weiss is going to end up being revealed as Taskmaster, isnt she?

No.

There's also a scene in the trailer where Rachel Weisz is flying a helicopter while BW fights Taskmaster in the sky. Taskmaster is Mason played by O-T Fagbenle.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
I like Rachel Weisz but I'm not going to pay 12 bucks and get Corona virus just to see one of my least cared about MCU characters.

So when is this occurring in the timeline of the MCU?

After Civil War and before Infinity War.
People say they don't care about this because they already know what happens to her character are stupid.

Everyone knew what happened to Darth Vader but it didn't stop them from watching the prequels.

This movie is 5 years too late.

“We had been planning the conclusion for the Infinity Saga for the past five or six years, and Natasha’s journey within those films took the priority,” Feige explains. “The notion of breaking out for a stand-alone film that takes place in the past, for a character that we already knew and were already following, didn’t feel right.”

I'll just read the spoilers and watch post credits shit and skip this.

I didnt like black widow, I thought she was boring in the other movies. Just another king fu, super ninja spy generic cookie cutter type character that walks around effortlessly kicking ass till they get their ass kicked and then come back to kick more ass, the end. Couple that with how safe marvel movies are in knowing everything will be fine this doesn't interest me at all. Hell captain marvel was a snoozer and she went into space. And the fact beat em up heroes are boring anymore, weve had too many of them.

Actually marvel movies have become so formulated and refined they arent as much fun anymore. Ok punch punch action, whitty remark and cue for laughter, punch punch, serious moment that isn't too serious, hero is best down, bad guy walks away, hero reemerges and wins, and end with the joke cue for laughter and credits. It's like every movie follows the exact same template down to the minute. It's like the same movie 30 times in a row just with cast changes. Course DC movies straight up suck balls.

I'm no longer interested in solo MCU movies, team her up with someone and I'll go. Otherwise this is just a rental, it's set in the past anyway so it's redundant as part of an ongoing storyline.

This looks like it could be a spiritual successor to The Winter Soldier, but I've learned not to get my hopes up for these films.

Looks awesome, and it's ridiculous that it took until after the charcter died to get a stand alone movie.

Also anyone expecting an SJW fest should keep those complaints in check until after the films out, since Scarlett Johansson has been increasingly distancing herself from the religion and tends to be on the receiving end of their ire constantly.

What's more, this week alone they've redone the main poster for the movie to make Black Widow sexier, and Scarlett gave an interview that has femenists frothing at the mouth since she said she wants to prove superheroines can be femenine and womanly and "not just Batman in high heels". Which along with a couple of other interviews certainly implies she's throwing shade at Captain Marvel, further adding fuel to the rumour she and Brie Larson don't like one another.

How does it being in the past made it redundant?

What's going to be teased or setup in a story set before Endgame?

Why does anything need to be teased or setup? We have never seen any of Black Widows character growth throughout the last 23 films. We really know nothing about her. And in spite of that, I (and many other people) was/were still extremely attached to her character in Endgame.

But because we know nothing about her, I think there is a lot of opportunity to fill in the blanks and learn about her as a person and learn about her past. Most likely won't happen but there is room here to throw in some shocking revelations about her that the audience isn't expecting.

But, she's dead.

But, she's dead.

Plenty of people can find action and character development compelling even with knowing where a character's story ends. Christ, Citizen Kane is all about exploring a man's history and the opening flat out shows him dying, I don't remember that being an issue with people who saw the film.

Im excited. I was hoping for hawkeye to be in this but it should hopefully be fun.

This is between Civil War and Infinity War. Hawkeye was on house arrest at the time. And since the film is in Russia, I don't think Clint would have been able to sneak out long enough without getting found out like Scott did in Ant-man and the Wasp.
