Bloober’s Project M “could only exist on Nintendo hardware”. Eternal Darkness mentioned.

He added: "What I can say is this: fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo, and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home. That said, Project M introduces a bold twist—one that no horror game has ever explored before. This is a vision that could only exist on Nintendo hardware."

Bloober's Project M was first referenced in a Polish interview last summer, when Babieno said, "We are working on it in cooperation with the world's best game creators for Nintendo platforms, so we cannot afford to create just a decent game".

The Bloober founder is a big Nintendo fan and has said Bloober was originally established with the aim of fulfilling his "dream" of creating games for the platform holder. Nintendo Insider asked Babieno what classic franchise he'd like to work on, if he had no restrictions, and he again cited GameCube title Eternal Darkness.

I didn't even know this existed. I hope "could only exist on Nintendo hardware" means it is an Eternal Darkness game. That games little ways of fucking with you were so incredibly good.

Wonder if it means using the switch like a window into the horror world. So you could swing it around to look at things.

Don't know why that would be better than just a joystick, but off the top of my head can't think of anything the Switch hardware could do the others can't.

I believe the source and rumors I heard were true. If so, there are also repeated rumors of a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch.

Little chance, it's published by Bloober, and developed by an external studio.

An external studio lead by Denis Dyack.

For or Against, GAF?

Eternal Darkness is one of my all time favourites. Such a brilliant game for it's time.
The original developers are making "Deadhaus Sonata", I believe?

Excited to see what this game will become, but keeping expectations in check. Their Silent Hill 2 remake was good, but Chronos felt s bit stiff. Like a Temu-version of Dead Space remake. Especially the combat.
