44 days from now is a pretty accurate guess for the date of the February's Nintendo Direct.

With this strange domain:

remosdneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com

I've analysed the URL for hidden messages and am happy to reveal the details. It's about a power struggle that went on in the office Christmas party where some younger staff members (including the web designer) had discovered My Chemical Romance and were arguing that "I'm not ok" is a classic pop song suited for a Christmas party but some older, more senior members of staff said it wasn't and isn't really a pop song. They're not averse to a little bit of angst in a pop song, but that's probably too overtly angst-y..
The senior members forced their musical agenda through but tried to keep everyone happy, leaving the younger MCR fans to sulk into their phones. A quick trip to GoDaddy later and the new game reveal website was renamed (under the influence of a few drinks). This will likely get fixed on the 2nd of a January.

Here's the breakdown of the URL:

Our Emos ("r"emos),

The new (d'neu)

ls (is)

A mistake (eror)

Is it? (eh?)

So (so),

Obviously, (ov)

I am (am)

Who owns the rights to eternal darkness? I was just looking at a thread from last year where the bloober ceo mentions being a big Nintendo fan and wants more horror on Nintendo hardware, also references eternal darkness.

Hopefully it won't be RoR.

Even if I liked the SH2 remake, it lost some of its subtlety and elegance when it comes to its narrative. Rule of Rose is even more complex than it and the risk of Bloober messing something up is huge.

And after all, you don't play something like Rule of Rose for its gameplay.

mh, you're not wrong.

I'm sorry, but remaking Rule of Rose doesn't make any commercial sense. Absolutele nobody outside of the enthusiast forum bubble knows this game.

Eternal Darkness would be awesome, but the same as above could be said about that IP, although slightly less strongly.

I would gladly be wrong.

Doubt its Silent Hill remake as there is a rose on the page and rose can be scrambled out of the text.

Also I think a Konami logo would be required if it was Silent Hill, (although I guess Konami could permit the mystery).

My bad rough guess is something along the lines of "Some Roses in Her Yard", can't quite figure out the unused letters.

Imagine if it was a Rule of Rose remake? That's up Bloober's alley. That's a PS2 game that I believe is worth a fortune nowadays

Bloober have never seemed too interested in commercial sense. They do what they want, for better or worse. And they're clearly fans of horror games, so they're right in that bubble.

What a shame that Eternal Darkness has been dropped. I play it on steamdeck from time to time and a remake would be my most wanted remake. I'm sure this team would do it justice too.
